Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service Enjoyed the comfort of the hotel at the grand canyon!!! April 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very helpful staff Staff was friendly and accommodating with my needs and schedule changes. They offered advice and maps. April 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly and helpful staff At check in the staff person was professional and very helpful. She was helpful in helping us select a restaurant to eat dinner. At breakfast staff was going out of there way to help visitors. Very friendly and seemed to have the ability to see people needed help before they had to ask for it. One was very helpful to one who did not speak very much English...in a very caring and non condescending manner. Thanks for a good stay April 28, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Stay The hotel room was very nice and enhanced our short stay at the Grand Canyon. The extra pillows that were requested at the time the reservation was made were in the room on our arrival. The bed was extremely comfortable and luxurious. The room and property were very clean and enjoyable. I would recommend this property to my friends and family. April 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay! What a wonderful place to stay. Starting with the friendly staff that is there to greet you and answer any questions about the Grand Canyon. We were given discount coupons for the IMAX movie too. As priority members we were upgraded to a King Suite, very nice for our two day stay. The young man who ran breakfast, Jose, was very kind. My husband slept in and we hurried to breakfast but Jose was very gracious and allowed my husband to eat past the time without any problem. We so appreciate that! Our room was spacious and comfortable and we loved the Native American vive the décor had it was so appropriate for the area. There was a wonderful warm pool to relax in at the end of a hiking day!! We can't wait to return! April 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasantly surprised We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and bed. Seemed nicer than other Holiday Inns we have stayed at. Breakfast had a lot of choices and 2 service areas so we weren't all standing in one line. Wait staff were right there to help with clearing tables and refilling coffee, etc. April 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A must stay! Check in was quick and easy. Staff was extremely curtious and attentive to everyone's needs. Rooms, pool and hot tub area, and the hotel overall were very clean. Bed was VERY comfy with a great view. A couple of great restaurants, information center and stores all within walking distance AND just a short drive into the park. We drove up to the park the night before to get our pass so the next morning we drove right in. Big time saver. Love this place and would highly recommend it. Great price! April 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent facility and location Excellent room with all necessary amenities. Good location from which to access the park and restaurants. April 20, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service While traveling to Grand Canyon we had booked a room at the Williams Holiday Inn. We encounted car trouble and stopped in to see if we could make a change and stay at this site. The gentleman on the desk(Ibelieve his name was Felix) went above and beyond to contact both the managers in Williams and Priority club to make sure my points were credited. We were also traveling with friends who had booked thier room i n Williams. Felix made sure their reservation was canceled and re booked with thois Hotel. Once in room I found the room top be very relaxing and the bed was very comfortable. Thank you to all the staff at the Grand Canyon Holiday Inn Express. April 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service The woman who checked us in was fantastic. She got us a room up grade that was more comfortable for our family of 5. We really appreciated her concern for our family. April 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Grand Canyon Vacation We found the suite roomy, spacious and quiet. We were on the first floor near the lobby and did not hear anyone in the early morning hours. The continental breakfast afforded our traveling party a wide variety of choices. I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express at the Grand Canyon. April 11, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable bed and great service. This was my second stay at this hotel and it was just as good the second time around. What you get are clean sheets, comfortable beds, a clean bathroom, a quiet room (and it was spring break) and a fantastic breakfast. It's close to the Park and a couple of good restuarants. I only wish I could of stayed a few more days. April 9, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean hotel and great location. Great location just a few miles from the entrance to the Grand Canyon. Pricey for a Holiday Inn express but you're paying for the location and other nearby hotels are comparably priced. Room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good. Staff did a good job of cleaning tables and restocking items at the breakfast buffet which is not always the case at many hotels. Front desk staff was very friendly. Overall, a very good experience. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VERY GOOD VERY GOOD IN ALL ITEMS BUT IN BREAKFAST HOURS THERE WAS A BAD ODOR IN THE SALOON, I MEAN A FRIED EGGS HEAVY ODOR April 8, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by room ok but breakfast worst ever the room was just ok, average. however the breakfast was terrible and definitely not for european customers. it was not eatable beside the bananas and yoghurt. and it was so cramped and no seats for so many guest. Worst then even a canteen. This is the reason I will choose another hotel next time even though the rest of this hotel was ok. April 7, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Grand Stay at Grand Canyon We had expected this to be our least favorite stop on our family trip because we had read the reviews and seen the pictures of an older, slightly dated facility. John at the front desk welcomed us upon our check in and treated us very well. We were staying on Priority Club points and worried we might be given a bad room because it was "free". Instead, John upgraded us to a 2 bedroom suite! It was immaculate and had great beds and 2 bathrooms! Also, it had a full kitchen. living room, and dining room. It was the perfect resting place for us after a full fun but tiring day at the Grand Canyon. We had a terrific breakfast the next morning and the children enjoyed the automatic pancake machine. The food was high quality and had many offerings (oatmeal, fruit, eggs, pancakes, bacon, bagels, cereal, muffins, english muffins---just to name a few!). John also greeted us at check in with a Priority Bag including granola bars, water bottles, and special Easter jelly beans---a big hit! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Grand Canyon! April 6, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mountain Air Located in the heart of Grand Canyon Village is the friendly and well equipped HIEx. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. It was a full house when we arrived several hours before check in time. So we set out to explore, returning at the promised hour to our lovely little suite in the annex. We had dinner at an excellent Mexican restaurant (Plaza Bonita) just five minutes away. After a restful night in the clean mountain air we enjoyed a hardy breakfast of fresh fruit, eggs and fresh bakery goods and set out on a beautiful clear morning to continue our voyage to Las Vegas NV. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent experience and the staff made it better! I took my family to a weekend at the grand canyon and stayed at the Holiday inn. The staff was excellent and took just a few minutes to check in. The room was very clean, quiet and was able to relax. Upon checking out, the same lady that checked me in asked me if my family and I had made it to the complementary buffet, I told her we didn't because we slept in and were heading out. She said hold for a minute and let me get you some yogurts. A moment later she came back with no only yogurts, but bagels, cream cheese, oranges, and breakfast bars for each family member. This was the best experience I have had so far. April 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Never Stay Here Over priced, rude, run down, not friendly, internet not working or very, very slow. I would rather stay at the gas station then this Holiday Inn. The chain should really think about dropping this property from the Holiday Inn brand. April 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Execellent Customer Service Very Happy with this location. The front desk personnel were very friendly and informative. April 3, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Time for new mattresses and pillows When we checked in at approximately 5:30pm only one of the two rooms reserved was ready. The second room became available about 30 minutes later. The rooms were clean and on the top level. Unfortunately, the beds and pillows left a lot to be desired. The mattress was very soft and all I did was roll to the middle the whole night. The pillows also need to be upgraded. I did want to commend Felix for his advice on dinner and the best way to travel back to Colorado. The restaurant that he recommended was wonderful and we really enjoyed the route suggested. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent I would highly recommend. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable suite, included breakfast. April 2, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What an Experience! My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with a quick weekend at the Grand Canyon. We were totally overwhelmed by teh friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel's staff and the quality of the facility. Not to mention that they are at the gate to the park, and the scrumptious cinnamon rolls! One of my top 10 hotel experiences, ever! April 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location to Grand Canyon We stayed in Tusayan and it was a great location, nice room, great staff. The only issue was at breakfast as there were way too many people eating at once, had to go to my room to eat and the OJ was watered down and the cheese omlettes were awful. The breakfast was not typical for Holiday Inn Express but I still would stay here again, but the price was expensive due to location. April 1, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bed was not comfortable and the Wi-Fi was terrible Good guest services, but the level of comfort was not there during this trip. The breakfast area is too small for the number of guests that were there, the Wi-Fi was overwhelmed and the fact there was no Hot Tub or workout facilities was disappointing. Very expensive stay form the accommodations we received. Your staff was courteous and gave a credit for the Wi-fi, but the fact remains I could not get work I needed to get done complete due to the poor Wi-fi capability. That needs to be fixed ASAP. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by clean, internet and great breakfast great but we prefer sausage to bacon for breakfast March 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Quiet Room- Very Nice Great location and nice property. Room was excellent and well maintained. Spa does not work in outer building. March 27, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mixed feelings about this one Pros: Great location and easy to get to the Grand Canyon, front desk staff and management was very friendly. Cons: The hotel maids are not doing their job very well. Their attention to detail is lacking as the in room coffee maker supplies were not restocked, previous guests food left in the refrigerator and I'm wondering about the thoroughness of the vacuuming job. The beds were "broken in" too much so. One side of the mattress was softer (and squeaky) than the other side etc. The other bed in the room was not comfortable as well. The bathroom itself is VERY small as the door just misses touching the toilet by millimeters and the light flickered so that it could cause someone a seizure. March 22, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Older hotel, Full of loud kids I'm a very regular Holiday Inn Express traveler, mostly for business, but when I travel for pleasure I enjoy staying at a HI Express. They are usually clean, new, and quiet. This one was older but refurbished. It was still very clean, but it was really noisy. Kids were running up and down the halls, doors propped open by the deadbolt were being slammed all night, and parents that didn't seem to care. The staff handled it well by moving our room to the end of a hall away from the elevator and by giving a discount on checkout. There was still noise, but we were just tired and didn't want to move again. I would still have rather it have been quiet and payed full price. I understand that the grand canyon is a family vacation area, but I expect better from a HI Express. This location has 2 separate buildings, why not put families with kids in one and adults in the other? I would stay 20-30 miles away to get not only better rates but less noise. March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room My only complaint was that we couldn't enjoy the room & pool enough because we couldn't tear ourselves away from the Grand Canyon! Very nice room! March 20, 2013
