Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Low-Budget with a medium- price I stayed here using points. No recognition for IHG Membership, let alone Spire. My room key packet didn't even have my points info or ANYTHING on it. You're better off driving back up to Tucson 20 minutes and staying at one of the IHG airport locations for the same price. Loud a/c and fridge. This is the lowest-budget IHG property I have ever seen in my life. October 2, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Express, Green Valley, AZ The room was clean and very quiet. However, the sink would not drain. I reported it, but when I came back that night it was totally stopped up. I could not get the drain-plug up. The staff person moved me to another room. That was fine, but it was not fun to move late at night. Other than that issue, it was a nice room. August 8, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did not meet expectations This hotel was sub standard for Holiday Inn Express. The room and beds were what I would expect in a low budget motel. The common areas were dirty and needed a deep cleaning. Sacks of trash were stacked outside the guest side entrance and stayed there for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was poor quality (stale rolls and dried out eggs). This facility did not come close to meeting the normal standards for a Holiday Inn Express. August 6, 2015

The hotel was a hop, skip, and a jump from familiar big name stores. The location was ideal, halfway between Nogales and Tucson. I recommend this little desert hideaway. July 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible cigarette smell in the room My husband books our stays at Holiday Inn Express whenever possible when we travel as we have never been disappointed with the quality of the experience at the hotels. We have actually stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Green Valley on several occasions when we visit our adult children in Tucson. On Saturday, July 25th we had an event that we needed to attend and arrived at the hotel about 45 minutes prior to our departure time so that we could shower and get ready to leave. We checked in and went to our room. Upon entry we noticed an extremely pungent cigarette smell in the room. As there was a "non smoking room" sign on the desk we assumed it must be coming from the room below us. We were in a hurry to get ready to leave, so my husband turned the air conditioning on high and said that maybe that would help air the room out, we then got ready and left. When we returned to our room at midnight the smell was just as bad and I literally woke up multiple times throughout the night because I felt like the smell was in the bedding. We did not go down and ask for a change of room because it was midnight, we had traveled all day and all of our stuff was strewn around the room from when we had gotten ready earlier. The next morning when we checked out I told the girl at the desk that our room smelled really badly like smoke. She said that , yes they had had an issue with a guest smoking in a room (she didn't say if it was ours or a room around ours) and that the guest had been charged for the smoke smell. She apologized but didn't offer us a discount and then told us that we should have asked for a different room. I informed her that we had arrived back in our room at midnight and gathering up our things at that time and changing rooms just didn't seem like something we should have had to do. She didn't really seem to care. Again, my husband is a Priority Club member, we have always been happy with Holiday Inn Express and we have never had a negative experience at this particular Holiday Inn (we've stayed there probably three other times). I do feel, though, that we should have been offered a discount or a reduced fee for our stay as I find the smell of the room to be totally unacceptable. July 26, 2015
