Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleasant Stay I have stayed at this Holiday Day Inn Express several times this year, mainly for work-related purposes. I have always had a great experience. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of a lot of retail stores and restaurants. The continental breakfast is good. You have the choice of eggs, pastries, toast, waffles, milk, yogurt, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel. I have stayed at the Quality Inn just a couple of miles down the road and it was terrible. It was nothing compared to this Holiday Inn. October 28, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable Temperature I checked in dog-tired, to find there was a kid's baseball team staying at the location that night. During check-in, the doors up and down the hallway were banging shut, as kids are not the most considerate of others in a situation lilke this. The room was warm when I walked in to it, and I checked the AC to find it was set on 68. I thought it was odd that it was so warm, but I proceeded to take a shower and get unpacked for the night. By the time those tasks were complete, I was ready to hit the hay. I fell asleep around 5:30PM, and awoke at was still warm in the room. I lowered the temp a couple of degrees. The AC went on, and I realized it ran only about 15 seconds before shutting off. I figured it was cycling, and I went back to sleep. This happened a couple more times, during the night, but I was too tired to care. It was a very uncomfortable sleep, and I finally got up early to get back on the road, even though I was not well rested. When I mentioned this to the desk agent, I was told I should have said something earlier so they could have fixed it. She said she could have moved me to another room. The desk clerk told me when I checked in that they were fully booked for the night, and I had to beg to get a room on the top floor at that point, even though it was in my request. I was too tired to want to move rooms, and I figured there weren't any anyway, so I didn't bother to try. The morning clerk said they had 4 rooms available, but they were smoking, and I would never have accepted them in the first place. I think they could have at least thrown a few points my way for the inconvenience, even if they weren't going to honor the "we'll make it right" policy. Parking is atrocious, and it is a smaller hotel than I am used to visiting. I would not return here, and would look for other accommodations in the area. I gave the staff rating a 2 because the gal in the breakfast room was very nice. October 9, 2014

You have a young lady on your staff (Ashely) that deserves a pat on the back for going the extra mile to workout a few issues with the phone and just overall guest service, it really made our experience at the hotel a pleasant one...
