Overall excellent conditions and service I've come to expect from HIE. I have used HIE exclusively for business for the past 8yrs and enjoy using my points for pleasure trips. Please thank the staff for their friendly and professional service.

At the time of my stay some improvements were in progress. A strong smell of paint and the halls were just
a little dirty from the work. Under normal circumstances this should be better.

Best hotel in Griffin not many choices. Young guy at front desk was friendly, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to help me out. This person is a huge asset to the hotel. The room was average and the pool was clean but overrun with children being as it were a weekend. Breakfast was good and the host was friendly. If there comes a time I will choose to stay there again.

After reading reviews on other sites, we were not sure what we are getting. Road construction made us more worried. Once we got to hotel, we were well welcomed by gentleman appear to be manager. Our check in was courteous. Room was look old but very clean. We enjoyed pool. Local recommendation from staff was excellent. Good breakfast with friendly host. We loved it. We will be back again. Only negative to hotel is it does show age of hotel from appearance of furniture in room.

I choose this hotel because of location as their is no other hotel in town are as comparable to this hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming, made me feel like home. Breakfast is lovely lady with charm. Hotel can use renovation or update, Cinstruction in front of hotel is damper on hotel.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for 3 wks during the time that I had training for new employment. I was away from my children which made me a little uneasy. However, each morning I went down for breakfast there was a little Korean woman (Mrs. Young) with such a zest for life and passion for her job that made things so much better. She was kind and courteous and extremely helpful. She needs a BIG RAISE. If were to recommend this hotel to a friend it would be because of Mrs. Young. I miss you already!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a delicious buffet upon our arrival. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay there again.
Personal touch and recommendation from Manager were much helpful. All in all, staff were friendly and accommodating.

Our first stay was great. We stayed three nights. All quiet and no problems. hotel was not full and all went well.
We were in town for a stay due to a health problem with my brother from Griffin. We Spent many hours at the hospital and were relieved to get what little rest we could with no problems.
The next weekend was pure heck!! After spending another long spell in the hospital we had booked two rooms using my airline discount so my mom and sister could stay as well.. No Points and I understand that with such a discount. We got adjoining rooms and we liked the hotel. Arriving late at night around nine pm we encountered severe parking problems and the parking lot was full of loud people in VERY LOUD cars running all over the parking lot. We all went to bed and were awakened by shouting in the hall. My wife witnessed a fight between two woman calling each other Nasty names and rolling around in the hall. The police came and apparently stopped this activity. Over the next 4 hours til 3:00 am i was awakened multiple times by people screaming and loud car mufflers outside my window. I went outside and the parking lot was full of people. I went to the manager, a young man and complained. He said police were called. I witnessed the officers arrive and drive thru the lot once. it got quiet and I went back in. It started again immediately and I went out to find several people sitting on my car. Again I complained. I also called the police myself. Once again the officer rode around the lot never getting out of his car and it went quiet. It started again immediately. this went on for two more hours and the police were called several times. Your staff did not handle this very well. The parking lot could not hold a full hotel.
This all started again the next night (sat) but died down around midnight. Fri night I had to call the hotel main line to beg for assistance to get Quiet so we could sleep on that and they seemed more concerned in if I wanted compensation or something. I repeatedly stated this was so we could sleep due to the hours we were spending at a hospital - not to be a complainer. The next night we had to wait for an hour to get a parking spot as the lot was again overflowed. Several cars parked there were partying and not staying there. Nothing, in my opinion, was done to help this situation.

We arrived around 1am. Had to park in back. Someone had propped open the back door to the property so anyone can come in. Made me feel very unsafe. We rented two rooms. One of the rooms the door would not shut all the way. It looked like someone had pried it open at one time. I couldn't sleep at all. The place smelled very bad. The toilet handle had to be pushed very hard to even work. It really surprised me that holiday inn would even put their name on such a place. Highly disappointed!

2) the pullout couch was a broken and a discussing mess.
3) when I arrived two sheriff deputies where in lobby, dealing with security issues (no security for patrons).

I booked 5 rooms, check in on 5/23 and check out on 5/26. During this time, we could not access wireless on our phones, Ipads, or computers. Although the staff tried to help by calling the service providers, the issue was never resolved. The construction outside the hotel was also an issue.

The rooms were clean. Only complaint was the continental breakfast. Milk for cereal was room temperature and spoiled. They had to remove all of the one's put out that morning and bring fresh cold milk out. Appetite already ruined . . . . .

I often stay at his hotel when in Griffin on business. It is an adequate, but very dated hotel that is probably the best hotel in Griffin. The staff is very nice and the continental breakfast is good.

Was given a room and when we walked in it was filthy!! Had to go back down to the front desk and get a room change.
This is the second time in 2 months that we have rented a king suite and the television in the sitting area did not work. FIrst time we stayed, we reported it. Second time, was told up front that the TV did not work. Now, this means either Holiday Inn or the manager for this particular Holiday Inn is not doing their job.
I really think this needs to be addressed and resolved.

Arriving on Christmas the hotel was pretty empty. The front desk attendant, Jodi, acted as if we were a inconvienece while she was texting in the side room off the main front desk.
She told us because we had not booked directly we were not eligible for the priority club upgrade as it was not mandated... it was if there were availability. I told her the parking lot was empty except for one car...which was probably hers.
The room had a leaking faucet that the handle fell off while trying to turn it all the way off. She said it would not be fixed until the next morning and she hoped we could bare with it through the night. And it was a handicap room even though we were not handicap. I am sure that is against ADA policies.
The next afternoon (after the maintenance man had came and fixed the handle) around 7:30 pm our door would not lock. We went to the front desk... and spoke to Jodi again. She tried calling the maintenance man at home then her boss. I asked to be moved and she said she could not move us because we did not book directly. We had to argue with the lady, she walked into the back room area while talking to us, and we had to cancel our trip to see Christmas lights. Once we got on the lobby phone with Customer Relations she changed us to a standard room that had a smaller bathroom than the one we were just in.
She rolled her eyes and she pushed the new keys to us.
The bath tub was not cleaned. The fixture going into the wall from the toilet was rusted and not even close to the wall.... letting in insects. There was a dead one in the corner where the grout was so nasty. The pool area had exposed receptacles, dirty dirty tile with slime in pool and hot tub, water fountain had rust and green material, broken tiles, the walls had air bubbles, broken patio chair, sauna said permanetly out of service, and handicap lift was no operational and rusted majorly.

The hotel and staff were great.. The only bad thing i would have to say about my stay would be the pool the hottub water n the tub its self look dirty the water was green and pipes seem like they were clogged up.. The bathroom in the pool was also very unpleasent.. Its time to remodel the pool aera and take care of it.. Also the sauna is out of service PERMENTLY.. I wanted to stay somewhere with an indoor pool but looking at it makes you not want to get in..

Our room was not very clean and we had plumbing issues with the shower, but the manger was very good about making it up to us. I think we had a fluke bad experience. I was happy with the way it was fixed. I would try this hotel again.

My wife and I, in town for a church conference, were very well pleased with HIE! The staff was very friendly, the room very clean and the bed very comfortable. Slight smell of smoke in the non-smoking room, but tolerable. Convenient to everything, but I know everyone will be glad when the road construction is completed! PS: our compliments to the breakfast cook! Delicious!!

it was very bad experience. poor food, poor location , no services, poor internet, poor staff.
the person in charge had made a big argue with my guest due to non clear policy and used non professional words.
I'm a frequent traveler to griffin since I'm working with CATERPILLAR local dealer and I need to host visitors their. Simply , i will not do it again and I'll stay in Atlanta next time as usual.

Suggestions to improve my stay:
More sugar for the coffee maker - 2 sachets is not enough for 3 cups of coffee in the morning!
A shaver socket in the bathroom would be a great help.
Pity the coffee and cold drinks in the restaurant aren't available in the evening (very limited choice from the vending machine)

Our family came in for a funeral. Each time we interacted with the staff they were kind and gracious. Two separate times a front desk person stopped our kids and gave them snacks and talked with them. Made them feel special. Each morning at breakfast the person serving us spoke with us, asked about our kids, and even remembered us from being there 2.5 years ago! She was extremely personable and real with us.
The room was spacious and clean. Would definitely come back to this place.

I am a platinum member with Holiday Inn & upon arrival at most locations they are pleased to see me & welcome. This location however, greeted me w/one statement, "there's no refunds". The front desk staff didn't welcome me, address me by name, or thank me for being a platinum member, they simply said, there's no refunds. I thought maybe they thought we were checking out, so I clarified with them & she said "I know you're checking in and I need to tell you there are no refunds for your stay". I was very confused. It was unwelcoming & I was stunned that she felt the condition of their hotel warranted telling me that there would be no refunds.

Please check your rooms for cleanliness & bug infestation,
went into bathroom without my glasses and unfortunately did not see the ants until I was bit, put glasses on, discovered the problem. Have some welts, no big deal, front desk clerk said she was sorry and nothing she could do, manager wouldn't come out of the back office. Disappointing. Not up to the normal high quality of IHG properties.
