One of the most spacious rooms I've ever stayed in at Holiday Inn Express. Two queen-size beds in the room, plus a comfortable arm chair and ottman, and regular furniture, you still have plenty of room to move around. I like the free wireless internet access, free breakfast, free parking, convenient location with short drive to the five colleges in the area. Will come back again.

I stay at diverse HI properties around New England/NY and NJ and would say this ranks up at above average in most categories. Staff is warm and professional. Room and amenities are fine with exception to the annoying fan that comes on with the light in the bathroom. There should be two separate switches like most thoughtful hotels. Also the lack of 1-2 spring water each day of stay for Platinum members. What does one bottle of spring water cost to ensure a memorable stay...it's in the details that counts. Also there were no bags in the morning to take a banana and muffin with me...they did find some when asked, again small details but counts when you need to get out in the morning. Security was fine as well as plenty of parking. Need to work on the spring water and provide to go bags and some more healthy choices for a snack in the check in besides cookies. Staff makes this place....great job!

I can't say enough about the front desk staffthey were more than helpful and very polite. The breakfast was more variety than needed. The staff in the breakfast area kept everything cleaned even though some customers were messy. We used the pool, clean and had towels available.

I book numerous rooms in this venue for my frequent travelling associtates for my company and not only is the staff extremely knowledgable but they are able to make reasonable accomodations quickly and be very clear on their pricing and availability. Definitely a place that I will continue to use. All their management is great a customer service is definitely first when booking. If you're looking for place to stay this the first to look for!

Great place to stay with a nice pool for kids to swim. Working table makes it difficult to bypass when someone uses it. Fridge and microwave complement the stay. Great breakfast room with good choices

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times already the past year or so. We have always loved staying here because it's very clean and conveniently located.
During this stay though, we were disappointed with the 2 dining room ladies staff that weekend (Nov 9-11). I know it's free breakfast but at least these ladies should learn to smile OR at least "pretend" to want to be there. They were not at all friendly and no smiles. They should work in housekeeping instead where they don't have to deal with the guests too much. In the dining area, they need to interact with the guests and make sure they don't give the guests indigestion! They really looked miserable those 2 weekend mornings! They either stayed inside the prep room or they were just putting away things.
We didn't expect them to talk to us....BUT AT LEAST SMILE AND GREET GUESTS!!! THEY LOOKED SO MISERABLE AND CAN'T BE BOTHER..as if they did not want to be there at all!!!!! Other than these 2 ladies, the rest of the staff were good....especially the lady housekeeper. She had a friendly aura even if she didn't speak!
We intend to go back to this hotel however should I see the same 2 ladies again at breakfast, I will surely say something to them and ask for the General Manager. I have worked for another big hotel company and I know hotel job is tough but they just have to deal with it. Please make sure they know that they should smile more or be more approachable looking.

This was a perfect place to spend the night with my teenage daughter while touring nearby colleges. Very nice common areas although rooms are slightly older looking. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Great location for touring local colleges.

I've stayed here several times because the rooms are usually clean and comfortable, so I chalk up recent problems as isolated. The tub drain was clogged and had to be cleared, always a hassle, but the staff went out of their way to help, even went out and got Draino. The real disappointment however was my 6:30AM wake up call came from a live person at 6:48AM, totally unacceptable. I was under the impression most major chains had automated systems to avoid that kind of a problem.
That said, it won't prevent me from stating there again, although I may check out another hotel in the area.

We were in the area to show our oldest our Alma Mater (U/Mass). I usually stay in Northampton but I wanted to be closer to the school without being on Campus at their hotel.
There are so many more choices now than when I went to school and Holiday Inn was a good call on my part.
First, when we registered, I asked if they could upgrade us to a suite (4 kids, 1 adult - yikes). They did so and with very little inconvenience or huge price tag. Second, I needed a charger for my iPhone (brought the cord, forgot the outlet part) AND they had hit. In the morning, my son wanted a Qtip and I did not bring any - asked downstair and YES they had it.
Last, their breakfast saved me time and money because taking 4 kids to breakfast is a best a chore and can run you quite a bill.
I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn Express!

This is the best customer service I have ever received while traveling. The staff at this location are professional, considerate, and accommodating to the fullest possible level. Management at this location was more than accommodating on my stay which was over 60 days. Any issues I reported were taken care of within hours/minutes. Any requests I had were fulfilled and accommodated with more that I requested. I think the Front Desk personnel is all very professional, however, Aurelio stands out form me as he was very helpful in all areas regarding the hotel and the surrounding area. The cleaning of my room was performed most of the time by Marion and she was outstanding, personable and did an excellent job of cleaning my room and providing me with comfortable accommodations. I also want to make mention of the staff in the kitchen area. I thoroughly enjoyed going for breakfast in the morning and seeing KSandra. The level of performance that she exhibits goes far above and beyond any breakfast I have ever been provided. KSandras work ethic is very apparent in the fact that the tables are always clean, food is always stocked and there is a smile on her face and a "Good morning" from her. Thank you for providing such a great experience during my extended stay.
