This hotel does not, in my opinion, meet the standards that IHG usually sets. The room I stayed in, 108, needs remodeling or at the very least, a very deep, deep cleaning. The bathtub is grimy and is peeling and needs replacing. The room is dark and has "Las Vegas" carpeting.
Not up to scratch I would say!

This property is deceiving- surface cosmetics seem to be pleasing but once you get into the rooms there is a lot that isn't pleasant. The hotels environment is moist and muggy. In my one nights stay I had four rooms, the first upon check-in hadn't been cleaned yet by housekeeping. Room two air conditioner was broken (old outdated appliances, office chair air rest broken and leather torn from arms) a phone in the room but the phone didn't work. I had to call from my cell to the front desk to get assistance. Room three, roach infested (same with desk chair-broken). Room for this was the show room was much nicer but I wasn't able to get the facet to turn own it seem that it hadn't been used in years. After a night with no sleep I wasn't able to take a shower the next day. In three of the rooms the bathroom tubes appeared to be dirty but surely they were cleaned years of rings around the tub is clearly visible. Hotel has had updates but tubes hasn't been touched. Customer service staff were AMAZING people, extremely helpful and went far beyond the call of duty to accommodate every issue that was presented during my stay. A large percentage of the guest at this location were truckers- not a slam against truckers. I think this is the reason the up keep is as it is for this reason. The business center is located in the hotel lobby it's not private or separated for the use of handling business It isn't a business /family friendly environment. I travel for work and stay at HIE in the last 10 days and this by far was the worst.

Lots of room for parking and quick attentiveness upon your arrival to the front desk.
A night's rest is easily achieved here.
If the breakfast choices aren't to your satisfaction,Golden Corral is across the parking lot.

Low quality interior construction and quality of furnishings.
Recommend you try another hotel in the area that is more modern and not just an exterior paint job on an old dilapidated building.

We drove up from Charleston, SC and attended a party.
When we arrived at the hotel (6:00PM) we were already tired. We slept great and really enjoyed the variety and quality of the breakfast at the hotel. Job Well Done!!
