The cleaners and comfort of the room and bathroom was great, we could have a good rest because it was quiet. Te location is also very good, it is very close from the airport. October 14, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dingy but great staff I made a reservation at your hotel weeks in advance informing the booking clerk that we would be arriving very late (actually arrived at 220 am). We were given room 116 next to the elevators and breakfast area with the supply room opposite, so needless to say we were up at 6 listening to the staff gathering their supplies etc and the bustle in the breakfast area. When we left for our appointment Saturday morning we informed the front desk staff (Joanne) that we would like to change rooms, but none was available, she did mention that she would try. We got back late that evening only to be told that no rooms were available to us, I questioned that if we booked weeks in advance why were we given the worst room in the hotel, and in 2 minutes we were told that a room was available on the second floor *216. The odor in the new room was unbearable as it smelt of old urine but because we were so fed up at that point that we decided to spray the room with perfume and stayed put. October 14, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Return Guest I find this hotel to be clean and comfortable for my purposes which is ease of access to either NY or JFK.. Shuttle is ideal to Federal Circle or JFK. Rooms quiet despite closeness of road. Over the last few years I have stayed at this hotel on four separate occasions. If I return to JFK I will most definitely book in again. Only issue I had, was that I reserved a room on the Internet through the reservation system and it didnt pick up too easily at the reception. It took a bit of time to sort it out. However that was not a big issue and after a few minutes longer than normal it was cleared. The second time I had no such problems. Rooms are very quiet despite the guest turnover. Papers delivered to the door. The front desk staff have been there quite a while as I recognised the very efficient lady from a previous visit about 18 months back. The hotel is what I would call a no nonsense operation but with good quality set up. October 6, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good For Airport Only This hotel is a good value for NYC if you're only going to/from JFK Airport. Good luck getting into Manhattan or finding shops/restaurants in the local area if you're staying for more than one night. Also, the doors and walls are a little thin. I did hear people slamming doors, or talking in the halls in the early morning/late night. October 5, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent room, good service but not HI Express I know... The hotel is in a crowded area next to the airport. Dont expect a large property, the lobby is very small. The staff did a great job getting me a non smoking room and the room was overall very quiet. The hotel however is just small and not even close to the HI Express hotel I see throughout the country. If the price is right, book it just to crash, if not look elsewhere. October 4, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convient for overnight near JFK Though most seemed to be utilizing this property for its proximity to JFK airport, we used this location for a brief overnight to get an early start for our day at the beach. For this purpose it suited our needs. Easily accessible to the highway we needed and it was surprisingly quiet for the location. Everything else is what one expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by My parents think I am cheap I made the mistake of choosing Holiday Inn for both my stays in NY. Kingston, NY and Airport JFK. The quality of these rooms were awful. Small full beds not queen as I had selected. No fridge in both room the first time I complained and got a fridge for this one I arrived so tired that I did not want to bother. I was there for a very short period. The AC units hum so loud you can not sleep. The hotel felt so cramped. No ice machines on each floor. Dirty walls every where I turned. The trim on the bathrooms and the ceilings. Wall paper was dirty in many places. The paper was a nice touch and the staff was great at holiday express. This one was better then Kingston one but I was shocked to find out from friends and Family that Holiday inn is considered a low end brand. For the price I was expecting more. July 23, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Short overnight stay Had to stay overnight close to JFK. Cashed in some Priority points for a room. Had seen some bad reviews online, but decided to give it a try. Got first floor room with one small bed. The room had a small sofa, TV, a closet, but not a lot of floor space. There are few steps down from the lobby to the first floor rooms. Room was clean and I got Breakfast on the go at 4:45AM before catching a Taxi for JFK. July 21, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Airport Stay I stayed here both to and from my trip to Europe. It is an easy place to get to with the free airport shuttle. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is the usual HIE fare. I stayed in a room on the street side on my return trip and was not bothered by any of the traffic noise, even though I was suffering from extreme jet lag and time change. If you plan to explore NYC, it is not very convenient for site seeing, nor is there much in the way of nearby food choices, but the hotel provides a list of delivery menus. Plus there is a nice choice of single serving microwaveable food choices in the lobby. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again as an airport stopover. July 16, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ick! This is a hotel you stay at because you have to. It's not horrible but it is absolutely nothing special. The lobby is non-existent and to get to your room you have to carry your luggage down some stairs to get to the elevator. The bed has a plastic cover on it so you sweat on the bed side and freeze on the AC side. The room we stayed in felt like it was underground. It looked clean but felt dirty b/c it felt like a basement. And if you are staying here because of the van, be advised that it only runs every hour- no exceptions. So you can either get to the airport extremely early or really late- no inbetween. I wouldn't stay there again if given any other choice. The people who work there are pretty nice, but the place is a dump. I could not believe I was at a Holiday Inn Express. July 14, 2012

Our first visit to New York and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The staff explained how to get to the metro and get to downtown. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was good. The guest bag provided at check-in was a nice touch. The room had an odor when we checked in but housekeeping came and sprayed the room to remove odor left spray can with us and checked later to makie sure we were comfortable. All staff that I encountered were anxious to provide customer service; from front desk, kitchen, housekeeping, and bus driver all were friendly and helpful. We will definately stay here again on next visit. July 10, 2012

The only not- so- convenient thing is that hotel shuttle to the airport is every hour, instead of every half hour or 15mins like in some other airport hotels, which makes it a bit annoying when you have to leave early in the morning. I cannot write about the airport noise, because this is an airport hotel, so it's not their fault! Great location and so handy to get there from the airtrain. July 10, 2012
