Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Gone Downhill I have stayed at this hotel many times, over the years, as an IHG rewards member. However, it has definitely changed for the worse recently. They now use this hotel as a centre for the drink driving courses, so sometimes the car park is very full and there are no spaces left for guests at check in. The rooms are ok, usual Express standard. A recent request for a ground floor room was refused, despite the hotel not seeming that busy when I checked in ( car park was practically empty). It was early when I checked in, so I don't see why they couldn't have swapped a room around. The breakfast choice is appalling. It is the worst Holiday Inn Express breakfast I have ever had. There is no fruit at all, despite being on the menu on the tables- all other ones provide tinned cold fruits such as orange segments, grapefruit or pears. There was no natural yoghurt. I do not understand why there should be a difference in what is available between the same hotels. There was nothing healthy on offer. Upon check out, the girl merely asked for my room number and told me it was "ok", didn't even ask how was my stay!!! Very poor service. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would not stay there again unless I was forced to. It really lets the Holiday Inn Express brand down. February 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The only downside I spend three months per annum at this Hotel and overall everything is great, however as I have stated many many times in these reviews the only thing that lets this Hotel down badly is the quality of the Wi-Fi which is poor throughout the Hotel. In 2015 that should not be the case with the available technology and its should be improved. This HOtel is close to my office and I have at least 10 colleagues who use The LIner in preferenec simply due to the quality of the Wi-Fi. It needs to be improved. February 24, 2015
