I stayed at the express holiday in Knowsley for just one night, however as I have spent the last six months staying in various holiday inns due to business needs, as well as making the most of the ihg reward scheme. I feel I am in probably a better position to make comments about the standard of service on offer, than most. I can honestly say without any reservations that the whole experience was one of the best that I have ever had, I was accompanied by my wife and daughter as we were visiting a.near by university and I will definately be using this hotel again as the welcome from the staff was very sincere and genuine they helped us to feel at home and we're very helpful, considering I had just driven from southampton i soon felt very relaxed which was further complimented by a wonderful nights sleep and a fantastic selection for breakfastIin the morning. It really set the standard for what I hope to to be frequent visits in the futurea s our daughter has just been accepted to the university in queation (Edgehill). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good HI Express HI Standards as usual, this HI is no exception. Very Clean, mattress protector as standard. Only thing different from a standard HI Express is sausages instead of bacon on the breakfast bar. Staff were friendly. Recommend for a low stress night away March 16, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by In urgent need of renovation Sadly, what could be a great hotel due to its friendly and attentive staff, only passes as average. The decor of the hotel is dated, the rooms are dingy and a general malaise pervades throughout. Breakfast was unappetising. I was disappointed to be asked to leave a deposit on my credit card.
