Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Christmas Vaction Ruined I reserved a room with a King bed in October so my wife and I could enjoy Christmas in the Keys but this turned out to be nightmare. The only reason we selected this hotel was because it was pet friendly and we could bring our two large dogs. After we checked in on the 22nd we found out they gave us a room with two twin/queen beds which left no room for the dogs crates. I went to the front desk and showed Jeff my reservation which clearly indicated a King bed. Jeff at the front desk blamed the mix up on central reservations and said there was nothing he could do because none of their pet friendly rooms had King beds. We also purchased the dinner package for discount dinner at the hotel restaurant but that was a mistake as well. The receptionist told us up front that they were short staffed and the kitchen was behind about an hour. Despite having plenty of open seats we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks. After the waitress took our order it took 50 minutes before our food was served. With kids running in the upstairs halls at night and the alarm going off in the room next to us we got little sleep. In the morning we went out for breakfast but the breakfast area was so crowded and most of the food depleted we decided to cut our losses and check out. When we checked out on the 23rd the woman at the front desk reminded me that we were supposed to be checking out on the 26th and I reminded her we were supposed to get a room with a king size bed. She seemed to care less that we were leaving and had no interest in try to get us to stay. No discounts, no offer to change our room, nothing. This hotel is overpriced and not worth the price they charged us. There are better places to stay in the Keys for less money. December 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely clean, awesome bed Had a good stay, we were there for a week. Staff was excellent. The place was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The only complaint I have the staff cannot fix. The building is poorly insulated to control noise. To the people above us - quite time is 10. Don't play fetch with your dog at midnight! (yes they allow pets, but you wouldn't know it because they do a great job cleaning) Sounded like a herd of elephants running back and forth. To the guy in the room next to us, you probably should see a doctor. I think you quit breathing for about 10 seconds every minute. Very loud snoring with a break usually indicates sleep apnea. I would stay there again, if I could get a top floor room because the staff tries very hard and it's very clean. December 22, 2014

The courtesy of the staff is beyond my expectations! The rooms are always clean, the breakfast food is delicious and the grounds are beautiful. I just wish this brand of hotel was in all the cities I travel to. The other hotels I stay in do not come close to measuring up to this brand! December 20, 2014
