Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent experience, I recommend! Staff was very extremelly nice and hepful at all time (incl. night). The hotel must have been renovated recently as it looked as almost new to me. All areas were nice and very clean. The bar and its terrasses are very pleasant. In general, every aspect is really above average for an hotel of this category. Location is convenient too, in front of the main train station, near Metro and 10-15 min walking distance from the "vieux port". PS: If you stay over the WE, you can easily park your car in the street near the hotel to avoid paying hotel parking (12€). October 9, 2013

The breakfast did not include nice items: no cereal bread, no green tea, no natural fresh fruits...the room was spacious and clean. The staff was very nice. I stayed in better location in Marseille. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by a comfortable stay My mother and I enjoy staying at this hotel so much that this was our 4th visit. We find the hotel's location ideal, so close to the train, metro, and bus station and a leisurely walk to the city's attractions. On this visit, we were on the 8th floor. Our room was absolutely spotless and this was maintained throughout our stay. The organisation of the breakfast buffet and the number of choices is perfect for us. The breakfast staff members were really friendly and helpful. The hotel's facilities are fine; however, one thing we have noticed is that there are some maintenance issues. The hotel was brand new on our first visit, but over the years some of the fittings seem a little tired. For example, a missing tile in the public bathroom and the toilet seat in our room was not fixed on one of the hinges. In addition to this, a few of the personal touches present on our first and second visit have disappeared. We received a piece of Marseille's famous soap on our departure on our first visit, but not our subsequent ones. On this visit, the person who checked us out didn't even wish us a bon voyage. On our first and second visit the rooms had biscuits / little cakes included with the tea and coffee. These are no longer there. Despite these relatively minor points, we had a delightful stay. The internet connection was OK but wanted to have one for multiple devices at the same time. The location just in front of the station is perfect. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The room is absolutely not worth its price We were three people and prepaid a "superior room" (intended for four). On our arrival, they sent us in a room for three (on the first floor). So I had to come back down and ask for a room change or for a refund of the difference... The manager said it was too complicated to refund the difference on my credit card (can you believe it?). So they gave us another room. They proposed a room on the same floor, but I asked for a room on a higher floor and they gave us the room 810 on the 8th floor. When we entered the room I could not believe it: there was no space for anything else than the three of us: nothing to place on our three luggages, that we had to leave on the floor or on the table. Then, there was no more space to move in the room... and we were just three, could not imagine what happened if we were four... It's not over: when I entered the toilet, there was a stink that could kill you. You could not expect that smell even in the station's toilet. That smell was there the day after, when we leaved, and I'm sure it's still there (although I talked about this problem to the concierge on our check out). Moreover, there were only two towels (we were three and the room was intended for four people), and I had to call the reception to have some more. There was a hair under my pillow. There was nothing in the toilet except some little soap (no complimentary goods, shower cap or similar). The mattress was too hard (for me). When I turned on the air con, it made a terrible noise: it was like having a truck with its engine on into the room. Impossible to use, I turned it off immediately. Fortunately, it was not so hot... The breakfast room was crowded and there was only one person to serve everybody. The chaos was terrible. I had to ask the reception to have a mug, since I was waiting for minutes but the poor lady was going up and down doing everything and was unaware the mugs were missing. After a few minutes, one of the two coffee machines failed and nobody repaired it. Finally, on our departure, we left the luggages for a few hours in a locked room (with many others), but at the reception there were no more tags, so we had to leave our bags without a tag with the name of the owner. Only one thing can be saved: the view. From the 8th floor the rooms on the right side of the corridor have a beautiful view on the city and the sea. August 31, 2013

It was a perfect place to stay for this purpose, but we would also recommend for a short break in Marseille The metro is very close and very easy to use.. We had booked a room with panoramic view and were not disappointed. The breakfast was really good and overall the stay was very good value. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was coffee and tea in the room which was great and when I asked for extra milk it was no problem and I was even given fresh milk! August 5, 2013

Room calm and enough space for 2 adults and a child. Very good breakfast and very kindly service. Excellent service as well at the bar. Fair prices for drinks. Will come again next summer. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Problem with air-conditioning and no bathtub I was rather disappointed by the bedroom: There was a problem with air-conditioning which was very very noisy. We mentioned the problem just after our arrival. We stayed 2 nights, and there has been no intervention at all of the staff about this problem. We had to sleep the 2 nights without air-conditioning, and could not open the window either. Moreover, I was disappointed that there was no bathtub in the bathroom, and this was not mentioned explicitely on the hotel website when I booked the bedroom. To summarize, I did not keep a very good souvenir of our stay in this hotel. July 29, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff service to help resolve air condintion problem Location is great. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. Very convenient to the train station. Staff was great. We arrived at 9 and they were very helpful in finding a nice convenient restaurant for us to have a relaxing dinner after a long day. However, air conditioning did not work in the room. The staff tried to get it to work, but couldn't. They were helpful in moving us to a new room after working on it for two hours. Great to have an air conditioned room but was not a very relaxing evening. Staff was great the next day in giving us a late check out and helping us with directions. May 14, 2013
