Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and Quiet Just stayed for one night, but it didn't disappoint. Reception was warm and welcoming; check-in easy. Great room - comfortable bed, bedding and pillows, great shower, bath towels, and shampoo, etc. Breakfast was enjoyable - a great way to start the day. Over-all a 5-star experience! September 4, 2014

Oregon, but far enough away to find a room during the Shakespearean Festival in Ashland. It's also a good place to break up a trip when I'm traveling farther south. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Good place to stay, but... This was a much better place to stay than the other hotels I've stayed in the Medford area. Staff was responsive to requests, beds and bathrooms excellent. There is one sour note. I was staying there with a government discount. Had I been paying rack rate, I would have felt the price was 50% too high for the area and the hotel. It cost more than I've paid for beach accommodations on Maui, which is not what I should be paying in a box hotel next to a strip mall, an armory and a four-lane thoroughfare. If you're considering this hotel, don't choose it if you don't get an equally steep discount. Even AARP and AAA rates are far too high. August 26, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A nice choice I stayed at the Medford Holiday Inn Express for a week since my daughter's softball tournament was held in Medford. We were originally assigned to Room 109. By far, the worst room in the hotel -- it is across from the Breakfast Room and as of 6:30 there is enough bustle to wake you and keep you up. However, once I called, the staff accommodated me and I was able to move. I was still on the first floor but it was pleasantly quiet. The breakfast is fine. The eggs are wanting but the cinnamon rolls are great. There is a wide variety of choices in between. There is something there for everyone. The place is clean and nice. The rooms are well maintained and the place has a relatively new feel to it. The beds were a little soft but, I find that is usually the case in hotels of this price point and is pretty much expected. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. Added plus, fresh chocolate cookies in the late afternoon and cold water with lemon available the whole day -- a nice touch. I would recommend this hotel to others. August 6, 2014

Received no info on breakfast, elevator location, ice, etc. Lobby area gives a poor impression. We have always like our experiences in other Holiday Inns. The positive is the wonderful woman in charge of breakfast--what a breath of fresh air!!! She is a keeper. August 5, 2014

My only main complaint regarding Holiday Inn Express is the majority do not have towel bars in the Bathrooms yet they encourage reusing towels to conserve on water. Where are we suppose to hang the towel to dry between uses? Doesn't make sense to me! Choices of breakfast foods gets rather boring after staying in multiple Holiday inns as we traveled. The food choices are all the same from one place to another. Variety would be nice. July 29, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for the price We stayed in Medford and in Portland area during our trip. Our rooms were comparable but the bathrooms weren't. The bathroom in Portland had much better lighting over the shower. The bathroom in Medford had only a lightbar over the sink area which left the shower area very dimly lighted. The curtains (sheers) were too long and when the A/C is on, the air blows under the curtains causing them to billow out. Most of the air goes up and into the window area instead of out into the room. The A/C still kept the room cool but not as efficiently. The TV set had a problem with the volume. Occasionally when the channel was changed, the sound was lost and couldn't be turned back on without turning the TV off and on again. July 25, 2014

Only one "usable" chair as the second one was stuffed in a dark corner and there was not space to move it. Service from all staff members was excellent and facility was clean and in good repair. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous staff and very clean We stayed there for three nights and the staff was fantastic! Nothing was ever a problem for them. Our sons loved having a full breakfast to choose from, and honestly, I was really happy to have that option as it offset the room price for me a bit. My only issue was that housekeeping kept not giving us enough towels in our room, but that was easily fixed with a call to the front desk. AnneMarie was the manager we dealt most with and she treated us like friends, not guests. I'd highly recommend this location. Easy access to everything Medford has to offer. July 22, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by economical choice for Medford Overall it's usually a good experience ... rather goofy front desk clerk was focused on providing what she felt to be terribly funny chatter. Not fully trained on how to scan key for entry into room...and I needed to go back to the lobby and request it to be done again. This is one thing I do find annoying and like it best when there is a phone available on the floor and the clerk can run up with a properly "keyed" key. Over all, beds are comfortable, air conditioning adequate and room clean. Compared to more expensive properties in the area, this is a great bang for the buck. July 21, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Small handicapped accessible room. The hotel was clean and cheerful. Staff was attentive and helpful, especially the breakfast lady. The handicapped accessible room was too small for a motorized wheelchair. My husband could barely go between the foot of the bed and the entertainment cabinet. The bathroom was large enough and the roll-in shower was adequate. The soda and ice machines were right across the hall and noisy. Also the public guest restroom was next to the room. July 18, 2014

Lobby are VERY sterile and uninviting. I expected the room to be similar and was relieved when it was adequately decorated and inviting.
