it is great that the pool stays open till 12am (last hr is for adults only!) very warm water and relaxing. Tv movies and channel selection great for us, we slept in really comfy beds. Room was cool and had refrig and microwave! Very nice staff and enjoyed eating the sausage gravy biscuits and there were walnuts for the oatmeal. Thank you for the quiet relaxation

We were headed to Kings Island and this was in nice proximity and a very nice hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Appeared to be an expanded breakfast bar. Thank You.

Older hotel that is starting to show. I've stayed here before because of the good rate compared to completion next door. However if you're needing to get computer work done the Wi-Fi is useless on the third floor.

We found our experience at this Holiday inn a little mixed.....the room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and responsive. Our toilet ran a lot, refilling every 10 minutes or so, which was a little annoying.
The breakfast was not what we have come to expect from Holiday Inn. The fruit was spoiled, and we noticed it was actually left out every day we were there.....no one is going to eat brown bananas, shriveled oranges, and rotting apples...... the bread was going stale every morning, and the overall quality was not up to par with other Holiday Inn expresses.
Work on the breakfast, and you will be great.

We were very happy with our stay. It was comfortable, relaxing, nice clean pool and good breakfast choices. The front desk help was very friendly when making the reservation as well as greeting us when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was as bad as I have had it coming from a frequent traveler. The orange juice was a clear/white tint and was sour. The apple juice was just as bad, sour and undrinkable. After that, I dared not tried the breakfast that was sitting for who knows how long.

I got a kick out of the desk lady telling me I last stayed there in Aug 2008 and they weren't expecting me yet ! To a person, the staff is courteous and friendly.
Loved the silky soft water and fantastic water pressure. Made me want to stay in the shower much longer than I had time for.
Great breakfast choices. It was fun playing with the pancake machine. Appreciated the sugar-free syrup being available.

Upon my arrival I had to walk through a cloud of smoke from the smokers standing right at the entrance under the small roof due to the rain. I had no internet access for 90% of my two night stay. The clerk at the front desk said she didn't know what I should do. When I finally got a number for tech support, 3 calls, 3 technicians and 3 to 4 hours later I still had no access. I didn't hear one thing from the hotel staff itself. This is not what I am use to from Holiday Inn Express.

This is a great olace to stay, I wouldn't go out and perform brain surgery after a stay at this location, but it is well worth the money. Clean rooms and a very knowledgeable staff make this a place to be when in the middletown area.

My second time staying at this Holiday Inn Express,, Very convenient location, nearby there are are a variety of eateries as well as some shopping, The motel itself is clean and the staff is very cordial.. I would stay there anytime..

I arrived late and there was a large crew (employees/contractors) milling around and complaining. It took about five minutes to be waited on at the desk as no one was attending to it. When the lady did come up she was frustrated and did not mention my platinum status. When I asked for a complimentary bottle water she looked so confused and stated that they did not have any. I walked to the elevator and the halls were filled with mattresses; seemed like they were being switched out. At this point I put my baggage in the room and decided to get a snack from the vending machine and go to bed. Went downstairs and vending machine was empty with a note stating thank you for the business and another company would be taking over. I have stayed here before and it was satisfactory but I will probably pick another local property on my next trip.

Hotel needs update. The heater was hard to regulate. Dirty socks found in the corner, which tells me the room was not vacuumed thoroughly after the last guest. The business center is placed near front door; this can be very distracting. On a positive note, the person at the front desk was friendly.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express on the last night of our vacation. It was 7:00pm when we checked in and raining. The desk clerk that checked us in was very nice and friendly, her name was Theresa. She should be a very valued employee! After being on the road all day it is very refreshing to be treated so kindly. Our room was clean and relaxing. Breakfast was wonderful.

At the end of a long drive it was great to arrive at this very good hotel. The staff were great especially the breakfast lady who was so friendly. The hot tub and pool were wonderful. Will stay here again.

On our travels to Michigan we stopped at this facility and found it to be comfortable, friendly and accommodating. We were not greeted as platinum members and there was no special treat we usually get at other facilities like a bottle of water, snack or chocolate, but the desk clerk was very friendly. Would recommend this facility to others.

Priority member....and our 12th visit to this particular
Holiday express...you might think I would warrent at
least a bottle of water.......nada..nothing...zip...zero.
Not even a mention of the game standing next to me.
She did not even know if room was facing front or back.
I was just handed checkin sheet..asked to sign and hand
over credit card. But got a smile and a thanks. 3 min. tops.

I was greeted warmly on my arrival. The room was very comfy as had all the usual amenities. Had I the time, the pool was indoors and there was a rec room to stay fit. Gladly recommend to all around Middletown.

I've stayed at a lot of IHG properties (mainly HIE's) and this one is not at the top of my list. The parking lot was very small/tight. The rooms had a very musty smell to them. Their furniture was obviously second-rate. Like most hotels have additional plug-ins at the base of their lamps; these didn't.
Aside from that, their staff was not exactly efficient and neither were they professional. It took me about 10 minutes to check in and no one else was even in the lobby. One lady was on the phone with a guy who wanted to make a reservation and although the lady wasn't rude to me, she continued to just stay on the phone. A second lady walked in and was in no rush to help me check in. In fact, we hadda wait for the computer to be turned on. Yes, the computer was not turned on and it was in the middle of the day. Then the 1st lady got off the phone and helped her checked me in. There was checking slips of paper to make sure rooms were cleaned (this was after check-in time, mind you) and then there was conversation going on between the difference in responsibilities of one shift and the next between the two ladies. The 2nd lady had stains/winkles on her shirt and was not wearing her sash (as pointed out by the first lady). I just wanted to check-in and be done. I didn't need the extra side show. They weren't rude, but they weren't professional.
Later that night I noticed two hotel employees were smoking outside and didn't help a customer in the lobby until after it was pointed out to them. At least one of the individuals smoking was supposed to be working the front desk.
I think they could do better at training their employees and express the importance of appearance. They should also give a good clean down of the rooms to get rid of that musty smell.
