I travel to Canada twice a month for a week at a time. I have stayed at other hotels in the area and decided to try this location. I was truly disappointed. The hotel is clean, but having to pay for Price ($$$) parking ($$$), Bar Food ($$$) no restaurant , and no places near by to go dine is a reason, why I will not stay here again.
The rooms have cold wood floors and that was a first for me.... it is January.... COLD.... wet outside and waking up to a hard cold wood flooring is not my part of good start to the morning.
I love Holiday Inn.... This location not so much...

I had an enjoyable stay after a long extended day of delayed air travel. I was able to easily relax and unwind with ease due to the courteous staff including the lounge staff as well as the consistent expected quality of the room.
In spite of the very cold outside temperature the room was comfortably controlled. Although the wood floor was a bit cool on the feet it gave a nice clean appearance and obviously great for reducing dirt and dust.
The included hot breakfast started earlier than other hotels I've visited allowing me to eat before my morning departure.
The airport shuttle was convenient and the driver was friendly and punctual.

Location to airport very convenient. Shuttle service very convenient. On our return the service was at the airport within minutes of us calling. There were others waiting too but room for all on the bus.
We booked the stay and park package, but booked too close to the day and paid much more than we should have for the room, compared to what we had been quoted. In hindsight it was worth the convenience since we drove from Ottawa and had a 6 am departure flight. The extra cost sure beat the alternative of driving from Ottawa at midnight or sleeping on the airport floor!
We would recommend this hotel - with one suggestion. Book early or check the neighbouring accommodations for the best deal!

The pros: Staff is friendly. Shuttle is very convenient. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. Wireless internet is fast, convenient (only one log-in per stay) and reliable. The beds are comfortable. Rooms have fridge and microwave. The convenience store is handy.
The cons: without a car, not much in the area. The bistro has very limited menu.
PS, there is only one available wall outlet by the bed - I prefer two - one for USB and one for laptop. (The alarm clock was occupying the other outlet)

I get to spend more nights in hotels than regular folks. the HI in Dorval is outstanding. Express checkout does not work because of door sils at the room (marble slabs under the doors)....but the desk clerc had my bill pre printed and waiting for me the next morning...kudos to great management..

I was in Montreal for a 2 day business trip and I highly recommend this location. The lobby is fantastic and a very comfortable place to meet with people or just to relax and read a book. The breakfast room is huge and has plenty of seating. It also has a lounge which is welcoming and comfortable. The staff was exceptional and the room was excellent, very modern furniture with a European style to it. There is no doubt that I will stay here again.

I had only a small time at the hotel so didn't experience many facilities.
The room was excellent, spacious, modern and very pleasant. My only criticism was the breakfast, the food offered was only fair but my main complaint was paper plates and cups, plastic cutlery, plastic cups for juice ..... this makes it feel cheap and more of a service to be had on the run in a cafe.

Unfortunately, the large screen television in our room was not working (no signal). We asked twice at the front desk to get it fixed but no one showed up. Other than that, our stay was a great experience. This hotel is highly recommended. We will return at the next occasion....

The Holiday Inn Express at Montreal airport is close to the airport with transport. The location is excellent and the service very good. Excellent breakfast and very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The hotel had the entire computer system down when we arrived but after a brief wait, they manually checked us in and were very apologetic about the situation. The room was clean, spacious and overall great. we would definitely stop over there agin.

Frayed towels, missing amenities (like moisturizer) and lumpy pillows make this hotel less desirable than the airport Sheraton, or Crowne Plaza located nearby. My upgrade room had a microwave and mini kitchen sink (good), but cheap laminate wood floors.
An odd event occurred one evening of my stay. I came back to my room and found a bunch of sheets and blankets sitting on the table, as if the staff had inexplicably come by between 7 and 9pm to borrow the spare blanket and pillow in the closet but left it behind. It's disconcerting to see evidence of someone being in your room at odd hours.
The final straw is the lack of a proper restaurant and room service, or even a decent store for toiletries and snacks.

The staff was friendly , I didn't get a chance to check out the hotel since I checked in at about 1am. My main problem was the room temperature , the room was cold and the heater would not heat up the room very much and the heater seemed to be on a timer and would shutoff. I found myself getting up throughout the night to turn the heater back on but overall the room was cold all night and unpleasant. While on the hotel shuttle to the airport several other people also commented about how cold there rooms were and just made things unpleasant hopefully the hotel fixes the problem

Our family had a great time!
We liked everything, from the rotating ball in the foyer, to the pool, the Foosball table, the restaurant and the complimentary breakfast. The size of the room (we had a suite) was great value for money.
Sure, I've stayed at fancier, newer hotels in better locations, but this Holiday Inn Express answered all our and, most importantly, our kid's needs and we really had a wonderful stay : )

I was very impressed with hotel during my overnight stay, before my flight in the morning. The reception I received was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and actually beautiful! The breakfast was hot and delish. The shuttle to airport was on time. I would definitely reccomend this hotel without hesitation. I know where to stay when in Montreal again. Thankyou for great customer service!

Clean room, comfortable clean bed, quiet even near highway and airport, shower showing some signs of wear and room temperature a little difficult to control (heat was slow and not very hot). Staff pleasant and knowledgeable, rides to and from airport on time. Morning breakfast above average and tasty.

I checked in late in the evening after a long day to realize that there was no heat the room. Staff couldn't fix it and had to bundle up through the night. What kind of hotel doesn't test to see if heater works in the midst of winter.

When in this area, I normally stay at the Holiday Inn Pointe Claire, but others were staying at this location ( all for the first time), so I decided to give it a try.
They have an interesting large floating marble ball that rotates in the lobby which was unique.
Both check in and check out staff looked tired and disinterested. No recognition for being a priority club member like you typically get at other Holiday Inns. They gave me a handicap room without asking if that would be OK. The room was pretty beat up and the desk was unusable. I am a business traveler, so this was not convenient.
I would not go here again, with so many better hotels, for a similar price in the area.

This hotel is not recommended for anyone. At the airport, they advertise a shuttle service to this location; however, what they don't indicate is that you need to call in advance. This is the only hotel that does not automatically show up - and of course they don't tell you this on their website. They will let you stand in the cold and rain for as long as it takes you to figure out that you have to call, regardless of the fact that the other IHG hotel shuttles will tell you that yours will be there shortly. Lack of communication is evident amongst this "hotel group" in Montreal. When you do get into the shuttle, the driver makes it seem as though it is your fault that you didn't call and makes fun of you for not calling sooner?? Similarly the front desk clerk indicates the same - and makes it seem like it is your fault for not automatically knowing you had to call them for a shuttle. This type of experience really destroys your vacation from the start. In addition to the shuttle issue, the cleanliness and location of the hotel is terrible. No recognition as a member of IHG given, lack of care and concern from the staff and no real area to eat and socialize in the hotel I recommend NOT EVER staying at this hotel.
