Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible bed, cramped space Room # was 1003. What I didn't like - tight spaces in hallways and breakfast area. Not enough room in breakfast area for the # of people staying at the hotel. Room was compact, the bed was horrible, pillows were too soft, and the choice of having great water pressure with ice/mild cold water vs poor water pressure with luke warm/scalding hot water was not ideal! The hotel was clean, the service staff were friendly, and the location was convenient; however, we used Uber many times because it's necessary if you don't have your own auto, or use taxi or shuttle to get around the city. I would love to visit NYC again, but I won't use this hotel ever again! Comfort is key, and I was never comfortable! June 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Birthday celebration family from Uk and Canada Found the room clean, well air conditioned, breakfast basic but enough choices, cereal, muffins, toast, porridge, eggs, bacon, sausage and yoghurt, tea, coffee etc fresh made pancakes. Only issue toaster only toasted one side so had to put on twice. Very central for activities, nice restaurants either side hotel, pub and Italian. Only slight confusion over multi books, but staff helpful and sorted sufficiently. Safe in each room so do not have to drag passports etc around. Computer in basement to print off boarding passes. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 5th Avenue - Great Location, Poor hotel Hotel was in a great location, close to time square, grand central and more. However the service was well below standard for an IHG property. Front desk service was very short with me, and did not look me in the eye or welcome me and my party (which is always a must as I am a Spire member and frequent traveler). The entire hotel is very small, often bumping into people while walking through the hallways. I had to eat breakfast in my room as there was only 15-20 chairs at the breakfast bar, the food was poor and had the same selections each day. I would not stay at this hotel again, and would recommend my friends/family to search elsewhere when heading to the city. June 16, 2016
