The only issue I had was: while taking a shower, the tub drain kept falling down so the water wouldn't drain. However, this did not dissatisfy my stay.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Frequent Traveler 365 Was unable to relax after a long day
Let me start by saying I might be a little more critical than the average "once in a while" traveler since I am in a hotel on average 3 nights out of each week. I will also say the staff at this hotel was just fine and I didn't expect them to fix my problem.
I found it quite disturbing to have an ENTIRE mirrored wall in my hotel room. I found it very unnerving to have to look at myself sitting on my bed working at night. (Not looking my best...) or worried I would see my reflection when I would get up in the middle of the night. (you get why..)
I understand design enough that mirrors are supposed to make a room look larger, but I really don't need a room to look like there are 4 beds in my room. and then when I wanted to look at my complete outfit before my meetings, I didn't have a full length mirror without a bed in the way!
The Bathroom -
Clean, Clean - but when they upgraded to the curved shower curtain, it made it so the bathroom door didn't open all the way, which made sitting down kinda uncomfortable...(TMI..)
If stuff like that wouldn't bother you, this is the hotel is for you! Staff is nice, location nice, safe, and it's clean. Decor is not for me and my nerves.
Thanks for listening. Katie

Good service but the room was HUMID and sticky all night long. The remote control didn't work and the room smelled bad. Staff was very friendly and the bed was comfortable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by KatAttack90 Fantastic hotel, fantastic location
The Penn Square property has friendly staff and is a very clean environment. It is also very centrally located which makes it easy to get around the north side of OKC. While the price was a little higher than the last time I remember staying in a Holiday Inn, I would pay it again because of cleanliness and service.

When I arrived at the hotel to check in I was pleased to find that the grounds were nicely landscaped, and the lobby was beautiful and clean. The front desk staff was pleasant, professional and efficient. Exactly what I expect from Holiday Inn, very nice.
After checking in I dropped off my bags in the room and left to go to the event that I was in OKC to attend. I did not get back to the hotel until late evening. When I got the hotel I found that there was absolutely no parking available. I was forced to park in an adjoining hotel parking lot and walk back to the Holiday Inn Express. I went to the side entrance of the building which was close to my room, but was unable to get the card-lock to work with my room passkey. I had to walk to the front entrance and go through the lobby. When I got to my room I noticed that the door to the room next to my room was not closed and latched. This was a little unsettling as there is also an adjoining door to that room in my room. Could there be an unregistered person in that room? Was it vacant? Was there someone in there that didn't realize their door had not closed? I went into my room and locked the door. As I got ready to turn in for the evening I tried to turn on the TV, but couldn't get the remote control to work or the TV to turn on. After spending some time being frustrated I walked to the front desk and asked for help. The clerk was very kind and came to the room and showed me how to turn on the TV manually. The remote control did not work. He was unable to help with getting it to operate. I also asked him to check on the creepy unlocked room adjoining mine. He told me that there were some doors that didn't latch properly and assured me that he would take care of it, and I am sure he did. After he left the room I went to the bathroom and discovered that the restroom was in desperate need of maintenance. I noted that there was a hole in the side of the bathtub, the toilet was not attached to floor, the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, and there was mold/mildew staining the ceiling. Yuck. It was late, I was tired, I decided not the make an issue of it at that time of night. The next morning as I got ready to leave for the day I called the front desk and asked that the TV be repaired so that it would be usable that evening, and the restroom be attended to. When I got back to hotel later I was still unable to use the side door of the building...the card reader would not unlock with my room key. In the room the TV and/or remote had not been attended to. The restroom issues had not been resolved. Disappointing. I went to bed. This was Sunday night, Monday was Labor Day. At 8:30 I was awakened by knocking on the room door. Before I could fully awaken I heard the room door open. It was housekeeping. I realize I did not hang a "do not disturb" sign on the door, but I never expected housekeeping to knock and enter a room when no-one had checked out yet on a holiday. I was very unhappy about this.

hotel has great rates and is in an excellent location to access almost all points of the city with ease. The hotel staff are very knowledgeable and greet me by name when I visit this location. Nate does a great job for the property...
