Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Clean, comfortable room with good service The staff at this location was very courteous and responsive to our needs. We were on a medical trip that required an overnight stay and just needed everything to be clean, comfortable, and ready for us when we arrived. Everything we needed was provided and staff was great. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel, great staff, AWESOME BREAKFAST! We stay at this hotel often and have been in several rooms. The experience is always consistent. It's clean, it's quiet, the shower is great, breakfast is AWESOME, the deck offers freah morning pine air for breakfast in the summer. The only reason I dosnt gove a 5th star is due to 1 reason,two of the chairs in our most recent room were a little worn out. 1 was pretty shakey and a recliner had a bottom cusion issue probably caused by kids jumping on it. Honestly if these little things would keep someone from emjoying this hotel, I would say you are way to picky amd you really should lighten up! :) This is truly a great nights sleep! January 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Overall it was a great place to stay! It wasn't too far off the interstate to be a bother. The room was great and very comfortable. However it would of been nice to have known that there was a elevator to use. Having a boxer dog and 3 pieces of luggage, that were not big but heavy, it made walking up stairs to the 3rd floor a little hard. The continental breakfast was great but would of nice to have had the food full instead of empty dishes. The front desk person at check out should of had a belt on just to keep his pants from sagging way down. Should of been busy with the breakfast instead if talking to teammate at the counter. I would stay there again and definitely tell friends and family to. January 30, 2016

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not Up to Par I have stayed at this property twice, in the past three months, and both times I have been greatly disappointed. The hotel itself, as well as the housekeeping staff, and ESPECIALLY the woman to takes care of the breakfast, are wonderful. Where this hotel fails severely is in the front desk staff. Now this is not to say that the "Entire" front desk staff is inadequate, but there are those in the employ of this hotel that would be better served if they did not work with the public. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not Just Another Hotel My family and I are in the middle of a combo cross country trip and moving experience. We have been staying in hotels a lot over the last few weeks. IHG hotels have set a standard that I have come to appreciate it. This Holiday Inn Express met and exceeded the standard. At first glance, it is not the newest or fanciest HIE but don't let that stop you. The staff are us feel at home and like a personal guest. They took the time to get to know us and greeted us by name during our 2 day stay. The location of the hotel s excellent - Mount Rushmore is a short drive away and downtown Rapid City is a reasonable walk away (approximately a mile). I would recommend this property and plan to stay here again when I am in the area. December 12, 2015
