I was really happy because front desk clerk recognized me as a priority club member and received a water bottle. Breakfast was really good .

The location was close to the San Jose airport but this hotel is in need of an update. The rooms are tiny, dark and tingy. I would not stay here again.

The location, ample free parking, free internet & breakfast and easy to book on line makes this hotel my first choice each time I travel! The great value allows me to travel with comfort/ease while being on a tight budget. The comfort of the room which includes a sofa, microwave and mini refrigerator are the added bonus which will keep me coming back to Holiday Inn! The staff were very friendly and helpful from the front desk to the breakfast staff! Thank you!

Did not recognized gold level priority club member. Older hotel, not like the other Holiday Inn Expresses, small lobby. Room had a view of a another building located a mere few feet away, and our window lined up perfectly with the other buildings hallway window. Left our camera in the room on the kitchen counter, as soon as we landed we called the hotel to get the camera, but it just happened to be gone. Nothing like thieves at housekeeping to start your vacation. Never again!

Not worthy of being a Holiday Inn property
A bottle of water was the only recognition for being a Platinum member
Never stay there again!!!!!!

As an elite Priority Club member I spend many nights in a hotel room, usually in a HIE when possible. I often stay at the same hotel for several weeks in a row and not once have I ever felt like I'd overstayed my welcome until I had my brief encounter with the manager of this hotel.
I was about to log my 35th night at this hotel when I received a call from Tony (the hotel manager) informing me that my room needed to be inspected due to the fact that it hadn't been cleaned in 2 weeks. When I informed him that my room had been cleaned 4 days ago and it gets cleaned every Monday his reply was, "it needs to be cleaned at least every 7 days" and threw in "we're not that type of hotel". Long story short - Tony informed me that this hotel is for "short term guests" and "it's not a transient hotel".
I walked away feeling very frustrated, unwelcome and thankful I was checking out in a few days. My experience with the polite and helpful front desk staff is overshadowed by a rude and condescending manager. I will NEVER stay here again!

I have been staying at this property for 6 years now and would highly recommend this property. The staff is always friendly and helpful with any needs. I typically leave early in the mornings for work so I don't participate in the breadfast so I can't comment of this aspect of the property. The rooms are always clean and appropriately furnished.

I've stayed at this property three times, and this time something was definitely off. While a Priority Club elite member, our reservation was not prepared at check in. Only after a quick glance did the desk clerk hand me two bottles of water with the keys, no other acknowledgement nor any recognition of having stayed there a few times prior.
Room was fine; still don't know why the AC fan can't be turned on to run and aerate even without cooling. Clean, decent housekeeping, small maintenance oddities like torn wallpaper in bathroom and bad door seal though the place was recently remodeled.
Breakfast was a major disappointment. Cold coffee, nobody on staff maintaining the room, lack of seating. Well below standards.
Hot tub was broken as well. And extremely odd pool hours; 9:30 pm close?
Overall disappointing and would recommend something different in the area.

I travel a fair amount for business and always stay at holiday inns or sister locations. This Holiday Inn was beyond a disappointment. For the money it cost on a nightly basis this was the worst holiday inn I have ever stayed at. The rooms were old and outdated. I had ANTS in my room 3 of the 5 nights I stayed. I told the front desk person in the morning after my first night about the ANTs,he was very courtous but, they never even offered to me to move to another room, they said they would have someone from maintenance look at it. So after my work day I come back and ask the front desk people if they have resolved my issue, the 2 girls at the desk knew nothing about it at all. A maintenance person over heard me talking about it and said that he thought someone sprayed my room, and that it was the time of year here for ANTS and that they come through the outlets in the wall, I am sorry but for alot of $ a night I forget where ANTS coming in the outlets is MY PROBLEM. So I go to my room and it smells like a pesticide closet, so I opened windows and let it air out for awhile. Once again no one offered to move me to another room, and the ANTS came back a day later. I went through the same procedure and everything was the same and nothing was done about it. I will stay at Holiday Inns in the future, and the other sister company's, but I will NEVER stay at this particular Holiday Inn again. Worst high expense room a night hotel experience ever.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on first st and I wasnt really happy about my stay. There wasnt any free breakfast and free wi-fi . I wasnt really happy with that. I stayed here at holiday Inn Express on fourth st and I was really happy not only because of the free breaksfast and free wi-fi but because the rooms and costumer service is far better then the one on first st .

Rooms are a little dated but okay for a short stay. The counter staff went out of their way to be helpful and that is really appreciated.

I was so looking forward to sleeping in the most comfortable and cozy bed I have ever slept in. I stayed at another Holiday Inn Express in another city and it was amazing...so when I was needing a place to stay in San Jose, where I was going to stay was not a question....I loved it and will always look for a Holiday Inn Express when I travel.
