Staff was friendly and smiling, the food was excellent with many choices at breakfast. would like to see a Rewards member, who is using points, get free Premium movies choices for the nights they stay with points. .

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Simpsonville during August 2014. Hotel was nice, room comfortable, staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay again!

The staff in Simpsonville is the best I've experienced but Jamie is always the highlight of our stay. Genuine and kind are the first words that come to mind. She truly does an exceptional job and always makes us feel so very welcome and constantly checks to be sure we have everything we need. We could all take a lesson or two on Customer Service from Jamie. She is the example we should all follow when dealing with the general public.
Jamie goes out of her way to make our stay comfortable even when I can't get the King room that I prefer. She and the staff are the biggest reason we stay at this hotel almost every time we are in the Simpsonville area.

First all we had to switch rooms after bathroom sink backed up all over our stuff and we were not even in the room at that time. The maid service took all towels and washcloths and didn't leave us anymore . Then we were there for a ball tournament and the girls were hot and tired and they closed the pool at 9:00pm.my husband is a platinum member and we have never stayed anywhere that closes pool at 9:00. I will not stay at this location again

Our stay was for leisure and it really was great. The staff was very nice and willing to help with anything. The only downfall was our shower... there was no pressure in shower head at all so it took a while for a shower... But it really was a great stay.

I recently stayed at this location for business. The hotel was ok but needs to be renovated to meet the new hotel standards for for chairs and couches. My toilet seat was nasty without providing addition details and there were a pair of glasses on the floor by my bed.
I reported all of these details to mgmt the next day , but they were not concerned. I will not be going back.

Came in late for a one night stay. While the Hotel was booked up, my room was ready and waiting. Clean and cool. Breakfast was area was bigger than others and was clean and good breakfast. Will come back when work requires.

This was the 3rd Holiday Inn we stayed in during our recent vacation. We also stayed in a Holiday Inn in Virginia and in Charleston. The rooms here were more " tired" and the beds were not comfortable. All 3 of us had difficulty sleeping and the pillows seem to have been put in a washer and were quite lumpy, not pleasant to sleep on.
When we arrived, which was about an hour and a half before check in time we were told no rooms were ready so we waited on the lobby until it was time to check in. I should mention that I was traveling with 2 seniors, one who was 74, the other 85 and using a wheelchair. I did not request a handicap room as all members of our party were ambulatory enough to move about the room/bathroom and shower. I was disappointed that we were given a room at the end of hall on 3rd floor.

The positive part of my stay was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful..Now the negative was the bathrooms and beds . The bathroom had mildew in the tub. Sleeping on the bed was scratchy and uncomfortable. .The whole hotel is extremely outdated. Which surprised me seeing all the other IHG hotels that have been remodeled.

Carpets and furniture needs to be either cleaned, replaced or repaired. More attention needs to be used when staff cleans rooms to ensure that guests are not smoking in "non smoking" rooms.

Everything was great. I was impressed that the hotel staff leaves a note in your room letting you know who is taking care of your room. I hadn't seen that done before but think it is a great idea.

Room, bed and bedding provided relaxation-number and softness of pillows was just right. The staff were attentive and friendly. My only suggestion is for a larger bathtub-soaking in a warm tub is very relaxing.

The receptacle in the bath room was broke, could not use it at all. There was a multi plug in the room that had three different things plugged into it. It was hard to find a receptacle to use for charging phones, etc. They were behind tables, bed , etc. The room was clean, but for a handicap room it was not very well maintained. We were not handicapped, but I'm sure the broken plug in bathroom and not being able to get to other receptacles, would be an inconvenience for others.
We did report it to the service desk when we left the next morning.

For the price, thought this motel was a good selection. Had a convenient location for our visit to this area of South Carolina. Would recommend this motel to others who need a nice place to stay in the Simpsonville S. C. area. Breakfast was good and fresh.

We visited during the Aloft Festival, an annual Hot Air Balloon event during Memorial Weekend. We enjoyed our stay, the clean rooms, the comfortable beds, plenty of towels, the friendly staff, and even one morning, when we decided to not go first thing in the morning to watch the hot air balloons, the view from the window of our room of some of the hot air balloons going over our hotel. The other mornings, when the balloon launches actually took place, we went early and then returned to eat breakfast before it ended. In fact, we must compliment Sharon for her extra friendliness & Alta also for keeping the breakfast fresh and filled up during such a busy weekend. This particular HIE has a few healthier options than most other HIE and even seasoned their scrambled eggs. We enjoyed the festival and loved how close this hotel was to the event. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby. We will definitely stay here again.

My stay at your hotel was a complete nightmare starting on the night we arrived. We were apparently not charged enough for our rooms by your front desk clerk, Allison, and subsequently locked out of our room on our last day there, with your staff, namely Allison, accusing us of not paying what we owed, in front of other guests at the front desk. She was extremely rude and did let me in the room after speaking to my husband on the phone and recognizing her mistake(s). Although she never apologized to ME, nor looked at me for the extent of my stay there. My husband left a message for her manager and never received a call back. She (Allison) did go on to tell my husband though that she didn't see what the big deal was, as I was only locked out of the room for, like, 2 seconds. Lo and behold 2 days after we left there is ANOTHER unauthorized charge on our account from your hotel for AGAIN not charging us enough. I have never had a worse experience at any hotel I have ever stayed at. I usually make reservations, pay what I owe, and check out. There is no reason for there to be charges and refunds from any business taking up an entire page of my bank account. we did receive numerous free movie coupons and free bowling tickets on our LAST NIGHT there to try and amend the situation, which was totally worthless.

I travel a lot and I like to use an elliptical in the evening. My knees won't allow me to run. A good fitness room is very important to me. It must be important to a lot of people because another major chain has upgraded all their properties to the latest Precor equipment. It is the same equipment used in my local fitness club.
That being said, this property is very nice and is in a good location if your seeing an event at the Charter Amphitheater. The place is clean and the staff is very nice. Like all HI Expresses, the breakfast offering is nothing to write home about.

We stay at this location every time we visit the area. Everyone is pleasant and courteous . The room was very nice and too our surprise very large.
As always, the breakfast was great as well as the lady working that area.

The positives...very pleasant front desk, ample parking and close to everything you could need.
However...no acknowledgement of IHG rewards club membership, assigned a room that turned out to be occupied when we opened the door, second day, the key to our room no longer worked and had to go back to desk for new key. Needed to crawl under the desk to get to an outlet to charge phones. Beds are great, the rest of the furniture is worn...probably time to update.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. Rooms are dated, service is poor at best. House keeping doesn't speak or read english so do not expect the do not disturb sign, or you yelling go away to work. If it weren't for the fact I was in town for a funeral I would have left. Plus when they "clean" your room, they do not remove trash ( food ).

It was very nice stay! I was greatly impressed with the hospitality of the manager and the staff. And near this hotel, there is a good American restaurant which one of the staff recommended. It was awesome!

I"m a frequent traveler and I see dozens of hotel rooms every year. This hotel room was the most run-down I'd been in the past 12 months. Not consistent with other HIExpress rooms. Also, I'm an asthmatic, so even a faint small of tobacco smoke is a problem. This room had a strong smell of smoke. Sadly, there were not alternate rooms. That said, the staff was clearly doing the best they possibly could with the limited resources they had. A great crew of people and I did tip the maid.
