Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This place is terrible I make it an effort to stay at Holiday Inn Expresses around the country while on business. This place should not be representing the IHG brand and it should be embarrassed to have the H.I.E. sign displayed outside. the room was nasty and the ceiling had been patched poorly, the bathroom had work done in it and was poorly done also. the tub/shower had a super slippery floor for some reason. the air conditioner did not work correctly and the staff said it would be replaced. I had to stay there from wed thru Monday morning and it was never fixed.....great for those southern Virginia hot August nights.....thanks.. the pool was dirty, the treadmill was super outdated and would not work correctly. I can not give one positive remark about this place except Sherry was very nice at check in. If I did not know there were great IHG places around the country I would not ever stay at another one while traveling, it was a very rare experience. This place should definitely not be a Holiday Inn Express!!! August 31, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Room were too smelly Even though the rooms were supposed to be NON-SMOKING, they smelt like a wet cigarette. The elevator placement in the hotel is in a bad place. The staff was not helpful. They night staff was too interested in flirting with the construction workers that were staying there than helping other guests. The parking lot was too small for all the work trucks and other vehicles that was there. The towels were only replaced after I used them all. Instead of leaving the ones I hung up to dry, they just took them and didn't even bother to replace them. Not up to par with other Holiday Inn Express hotels I have stayed in. Not even close. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiet Large Room The room was much larger than expected. The hallway smelled a bit of smoke masked with room freshener, however, the room did not have the smell of smoke. The bathroom lighting was a little dim, but not impossible to work with. I would like breakfast to be until 11:00 especially on the weekend. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions to local restaurants. July 30, 2014
