Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not what it was advertised to be. I chose this hotel for its close proximity to my business meetings for the week I stayed in Tampa. Online, during my booking, it looked like it was going to be a great place to stay. That was about the end of my good experience. The property is hard to find, even on N Dale Mabry, because it is behind an overgrown, closed-down restaurant. That's not a shot at the hotel management, but it makes finding them trickier. Once I got to my room, I found that I could not dead-bolt my door, and when the door was closed, there was light shining in from the bottom and the side. There was almost a half inch of space because the door did not secure properly. The A/C units in this hotel are still the old floor units by the windows that make an insane amount of noise and are hit or miss when setting the temperature. The manager's reception which was advertised on the website for weeknights, had been cancelled without any updates to the website itself. That may sounds trivial, but it was something that was advertised, so it should have been there. When I asked the front desk about it, they said that it had been stopped a few months earlier. The last straw was the terrible internet reception. I had an insane amount of trouble connecting to the hotel's wifi. So much so, that I was given the hotel next door's wifi password, and it worked better! For all that is wrong with this property, there is one good thing. Felicity, who works at the front desk. She was wonderful and accommodating. She was constantly friendly and always a pleasure to work with, even when I told her that I was leaving early because of the issues I had. I would not recommend this property to anyone, and I hope that they can get their property up to what is expected from the Holiday Inn Express Brand. October 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service I visit the Tampa area a lot however this was my first time staying here and I must say the 3 of us said that we have to make this our place to stay when we visit Tampa each time from no on. Felicity welcomed us in when we arrived about 1:55 am in the morning she was such a sweet heart and so helpful to us, she gave us directions to place we need to go to on the next day, she was just awesome please recognize her for her outstanding service. The beds were comfortable the breakfast choice were great each morning, rooms were clean and comfortable. Thank you guys for a great stay. October 24, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by STAY FOR GAME As a Platinum member I stay at a lot of your properties obviously, and this is a nice property, but the room had issues. Bed & pillows were very uncomfortable, but the biggest issue by far was the temperature settings. We could Not adjust the heat or a/c at all & so we finally just shut if off! Very humid at times in the room. This issue needs to get addressed quickly & you can see which rooms we had. Probably the most disappointing stay at a property yet. Made front desk aware of it to pass along to management, so I could be fixed & they comped me 2,000 points to help. Maybe more could have been done... Sincerely, October 23, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Over all a nice place to stay I selected this location because I enjoy Holiday Inn Express in general and the location was central to my activities for the duration of my stay. It was a little disconcerting that while standing at the desk to check-in the lady kept taking phone calls ahead of the people waiting to check-in. It was very clean place and the working staff were very nice and helpful. October 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room this was a great room...we were there early and our room was ready...There was a party(loud from the hall) in the banquet room across the hall and we thought it was going to be a problem but in our room with the door closed we did not hear anything...nice clean room..newly carpeted. smelled fresh. comfy bed. would recommend.. Over all a good hotel, close to most things in the area, will be staying here again while in town. October 22, 2014
