This facility needs some help in the management program. Front desk was slow, and had a poor attitude upon arrival. The workout facility was very limited.

I booked my room via IHG over my iPhone on the day of my stay. I booked a single bed room (King), and was placed in a double queen bed room. Upon entering the room I noted the floor had not been vacuumed (or crumbs were scattered after it was vacuumed). Finally, the carpet was very obviously in need of replacement as there were old stains and threadbare areas. Just not up to my usual experience at HIX.

It was an average hotel. Not bad but not great. I spend a lot of time in hotels, so you tend to focus on what is not right. The A/C was loud and did not cool the room as it should have. Had to keep it on 66 degrees just to stay comfortable. The wall seem paper thin because I could hear the conversations and TVs from other guest. The first two wash cloths I unfolded in the bathroom had hair in them. The breakfast was not appetizing at all.

Holiday Inn Express is always our choice when travelling. The rooms are very clean. The bedding is comfortable and smells clean and fresh. The reason I gave the breakfast a fair rating is because of the lack of gluten free items. Also, it would be nice if there was some way to know what items are gluten free. The serving staff should be able to provide ingredient info or have it printed somewhere so it's available for guests. One of the hotels we stayed at had gluten free items available and we were told all were going to start doing that but haven't seen it again.
