Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Conformation number for a declined card...twice?! I paid for our trip a month before we arrived. After paying with my debit card I received an email saying our room was confirmed and with a conformation number. Two weeks later I received ANOTHER email with a conformation number. Never was I sent anything about a declined payment. Upon our arrival nearly 2 hours from home, we had to wait several minutes for them to get their computers open due to a "power surge". When I was finally able to check in I was asked for a card. I assumed in case of any damages or such. The man handed me the card back and said it had been declined. I asked what he was trying to charge to my card and he said that he was paying for the room. I told him I had paid a month ago and he said it showed the card was declined. Another man joined him in the conversation and proceeded to tell me that my emails confirming payment were basically meaningless. I was furious but even more so when I returned home to find that they money HAD charged to my account and that they also charged the second card as well! Places don't give out conformation codes for declined payments and they certainly don't do it TWICE. I'm still waiting on them to return my phone call but I can promise our 2-3 stays there a year are over. Next time we will stay somewhere else! September 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 nights Enjoyed the stay at your hotel. Comfortable bed, helpful and friendly staff. August 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice stay Staff could have been more friendly but overall a great stay August 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by front counter and house keeping The first night we stayed we woke up the following morning and discovered there was no shower curtain. Called the front desk to ask for one she said she would bring it to us immediately. . An hr later still no curtain. Of the seven days we stayed they failed to clean the rooms twice. After stating something to the manager they gave me 500 free points however Did nothing to make the situation better. Overall I was completely disappointed with my over all stay. They still a week later have yet to apply my points for the stay as well. August 19, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by July 2013 stay Our first room the bedskirts are too large for the beds and they hang on the floor. It looked untidy. I looked under the bedskirts and found several items that were overlooked and shouldn't have been there. We were able to switch rooms to one on the third floor. It was very nice. Very clean. The bathroom was spotless, the mini-fridge and microwave were both clean. The beds were made up nicely, though the bedskirts did not fit the beds in this room either. The beds are very comfortable and the a/c unit got nice and cold. The floors are a bit squeaky and you can hear people in the hallways quite clearly. Overall, the entire stay was nice. The location is great being just steps away from a large array of restaurants and shopping opportunities. I would stay here again. August 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Unfortunately, bad experience Our family did not have a good experience at this Holiday Inn Express. When making the reservation, we notified the the hotel of an expected late arrival. As planned, we arrived late, but when we entered one of the rooms . . . the beds were unmade and the room needed to be cleaned. We went back to the front desk to get another room. When we arrived at the "prepared" room, the door was propped open . . . not a good feeling. We went back to the front desk to inquire about the room door which was left open. We were assured all was fine and told "the cleaning crew is leaving the doors open after they finish cleaning." Seriously, this is not a good feeling. We had a couple rooms for a couple nights, but did not have any room service (garbage not emptied, no clean towels, etc...) The breakfast did not have fresh fruit which was disappointing. It also seemed like the breakfast attendant was overwhelmed and could not keep up with the need for cereal bowls or plates. We chose not to eat breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express on the second day. I would not recommend this hotel. August 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A/C unit was the biggest problem shutting on and off wake you up ever time! Staff was pretty good for the most part but the day I left the Manager in charge he made feel like he didn't care how I felt July 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent excellent stay, thank you. the evening front desk young gentleman was incredibly helpful and pleasant. thank you. July 1, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent service and great room Excellent service, staff very friendly. Very clean, room great. Great location. June 24, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Experience Upon Arrival waited over 15 minutes for someone to come to front desk. As a priority member who stays at Holiday Inn Express over 50 nights a year this was a first. Upon the arrival was told that I had been booked in to one room with a king bed even though I had placed two adults and 1 child on the reservation. Had to get a rollaway to the room. Once in room the air conditioner would only work on high. Toilet was stopped up. Bed was very uncomfortable and to top it all off it was a two night stay and housekeeping did not clean room. As I said before Holiday Inn Express is my choice and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express the next night in El Reno, Oklahoma and it was awesome. The location in Woodland Hills is awful and will look for another hotel chain to stay at when in Tulsa. June 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice everything! The bed, the room, the breakfast -- al perfect for my 2 day stay in Tulsa for business. June 20, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Reviewer2013 The location of the hotel is excellent, but it is difficult to find. Overall, I would say this hotel is 'ok' for a short stay on business primarily b/c of it's location. The hotel is dated and needs some updating. It almost seems like this property was a different brand that was purchased and converted into a HIExp. I had an issue with the toilet seat and water on the floor in the bathroom. Maintenance did come to address the issues. Maid service was very slow and was still in progress when I came back to the room around 4 p.m. in the afternoon on my second day. June 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best Great location but the room seemed pretty tired.the floors creaked and Internet was slow. May 18, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Floors The worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. I could hear the people in the room above me, as I am sure the people below me could hear me. The floors creaked that much. I could feel the wood below the carpet. I will not stay here again. The breakfast was standard Holiday Inn Express fare of scrambled eggs, omelettes, gravy and bacon/sausage. Nothing spectacular or surprising there. No fresh fruit was available, as well as no yogurt. The actual building is hidden behind two large chain restaraunts, so without a GPS I would have never seen the place. I travel very frequently for work and I have a profile set up that specifies no room near the elevator, but yet I was stuck right across from there. I will not stay in this location again. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy room Was on the second floor and the room above could hear the bed squeak and walking late. Have never had that happen at any of the Holiday Inns before. The tornado sirens were going off all night. Not their fault. Breakfast also ran out of yogurt. April 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by needs exercise room Most everything about this property is OK, but not having a room with exercise equipment is not keeping up with the demands of the modern traveler. When I return to Tulsa on business, I will not stay here based on this. February 27, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanks... It was Valentines Day... I checked out and headed across town to my appointment. About half way there, I realized that I had left my phone in the room. So, I borrowed a phone and called the front desk. Vicky took my info and said she would go get it and have it for me as soon as possible. Within 30 minutes I received an e-mail from Victoria confirming they had found it. I drove back to get it... in plenty of time to catch the call from my wife wishing me a Happy Valentines Day. No need to look for any other place to stay in Tulsa, I am going to elevate the hotel phone number from contact list to speed dial! February 19, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great staff Staff was excellent made you feel welcome from the check in to the check out. Normally stay at another property but prefer this one and will consider staying here again. February 5, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff The staff were very friendly -- front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. My only disappoinment was no fitness center! December 11, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage trucks A lot of people at breakfast were complaining about the garbage truck doing a pick up at 5:45 in the morning. I stayed two nights and was woke up both mornings by garbage trucks picking up at the local restruants before 6:00 am. A lot of your customers are suffering from cancer and need their rest. I shared a table with one that was really upset because he has trouble enough sleeping without the extra noice. I doubt he comes back. Best regards Mark November 20, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff, old facilities The room was not super clean - the hotel was an older hotel as far as style and appearance. However the staff was amazing, if I went back to this hotel it would be for the staff (behind the desk and the breakfast attentant). November 17, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful staff We arrived at the Holiday Inn Express in Goodland and were first of all met with a very friendly desk lady. She made sure we were checked in and had all we needed. The room was clean, well cared for and ready to go. I would recommend HI Express in Goodland to anyone traveling on I-70 going east or west. It is right off the freeway with easy access. November 7, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not good every day I had to clean my coffee pot and retreive my coffee from either the front desk or room service people who were still on my floor. carpets were not vacummed. floors in my room and the room above me were old and creeky and everytime either myself or the person above me walked in the room, that's all you could hear. One day the linen was just thrown up and pillows tossed up around the headboard. I pulled the linen back to see if they had been changed, which it hadn't. I called the front desk to inquire and was told " they only change the linens once per stay of the guest.. October 29, 2012
