Front desk help was poor . The hotel didn't have any hot water, and although they took some off my bill, I think an option of another HIE up the road a few miles should have been given to me. I didn't know that there were several HIE up the road a few miles. I would have been happy to go a few more miles to get hot water.
I was up and down the elevator with my bags 5 times before I got in a room. The key worked, but the doors would not open. Then they sent me to another room that had the same problem. Then they sent me to an occupied room. I told them it looked like it was occupied and they said it was not. At this point I should have been given another room or an employee should have come with me to the room to be sure it was unoccupied. There were 2 employees at the front desk. I tried the door and Yes it was occupied. I finally was given another room and the key worked. I did not hear a single apology.

The motel building did not have any hot water upon check in. The front desk staff informed us of this issue at check-in. we had travelled all day and were tired and chose to stay anyway. Cold shower the next morning. but not the fault of staff, they handled it well.

I am a platinum member of IHG hotels and i must say this is the worst experience we've had with an HI Express since the change over with new standards and logo. I don't know how these people got on the list. The check in clerk was unfriendly and a bit arrogant. Not only was I not greeted (or treated) as a Priority Member, I was not offered the choice of points or snack box. When I asked later I was told they were out of them and had been for a week. My TV did not work but was "fixed" by jiggling the cable--after the third call. The room was not HI Express standard. We had two pillows rather than the standard 2 soft and 2 hard. Nothing seemed like I was in an HI Express which I had come to depend on for consistency. Oh. we are both disabled and other guests smoking outside provided all the help we got.

Great place. Just bad location. No good places to go for dinner. Other than Applebee's . That's not what I call exciting. And your to far from Lexington to run into have a meal. JMO?..

Toilet broke... they never fixed it... Staff was not trained in check in procedure, property is changing over to another property and lots of construction... place was a mess I am a gold member and this was an embarrasement

STaff and room was great. Very clean. The front of the hotel was being worked on so there was a little awkwardness coming in but really no problem.
