It seemed like they were trying to remodel, but forgot to finish. I would not recomment this hotel till they are done....

The A/C unit was the loudest I have ever heard. I feel this problem could have and should have been found and repaired before anyone stayed in room 124.
The A/C unit vibrated all night long and sounded like numerous motorcycles in the room. It was a terrible experience.
The manager said he would look into it after we told him the next day, but this problem was ongoing, a unit does not do that in one day.
The pool was not open due to a heater problem. Why would we need a heater during the summer? The customers should have been able to use the pool as they wanted even if it was a little cooler. That should have been up to the individual.
Thre breakfast bar was almost like a continental breakfast instead of a usual breakfast you get at a Holiday Inn Express. This was the fourth night in a row that we had spent in the Holiday Inn Express that week. Terrible experience overall !!!

Hallways looked they hadn't been vacuumed in a week.
Carpet was thread bare getting into elevator which looked like had not been cleaned in a month.
Pool was freezing cold.
Bed & breakfast was ok which was only decent thing about the stay. Way over-priced for quality received.

This Holiday Inn is a good buy for the money. The staff are extremely friendly and tried to be helpful whenever possible. This is a non-smoking hotel, and when my daughter smelled cigarette smoke, she complained to the front desk. The staff investigated immediately, and while they were unable to find the smoker (he/she likely used the stairwell), it was not for lack of attention. The noise level was minimal, which allowed for restful sleep. My one suggestion is that the hotel might consider putting more lounge-like seating in the lobby area to allow people to read and rest there in greater comfort.

More care needed to be taken in the appearance of the fixtures (i.e. toilet, shower head, light switch covers), coffee pot in the room was filthy and therefore did not use it. The breakfast was less that perfect: limited selection, eggs were watery, sausage cold and gravy tasteless. The tables were not cleaned between guest uses.
Front desk staff, for the most part, was attentive to guests checking in or out.
The hotel served the purpose of a place to sleep for the night while traveling, but would not want to spend more than one night there.
Signs posted in hallways stated that remodeling was being done, but never saw anyone working, etc.
