Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by really rough stay The A/C unit was the loudest I have ever heard. I feel this problem could have and should have been found and repaired before anyone stayed in room 124. The A/C unit vibrated all night long and sounded like numerous motorcycles in the room. It was a terrible experience. The manager said he would look into it after we told him the next day, but this problem was ongoing, a unit does not do that in one day. The pool was not open due to a heater problem. Why would we need a heater during the summer? The customers should have been able to use the pool as they wanted even if it was a little cooler. That should have been up to the individual. Thre breakfast bar was almost like a continental breakfast instead of a usual breakfast you get at a Holiday Inn Express. This was the fourth night in a row that we had spent in the Holiday Inn Express that week. Terrible experience overall !!! July 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dirty. Worn, & cold pool Hallways looked they hadn't been vacuumed in a week. Carpet was thread bare getting into elevator which looked like had not been cleaned in a month. Pool was freezing cold. Bed & breakfast was ok which was only decent thing about the stay. Way over-priced for quality received. July 1, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Hotel for the Money This Holiday Inn is a good buy for the money. The staff are extremely friendly and tried to be helpful whenever possible. This is a non-smoking hotel, and when my daughter smelled cigarette smoke, she complained to the front desk. The staff investigated immediately, and while they were unable to find the smoker (he/she likely used the stairwell), it was not for lack of attention. The noise level was minimal, which allowed for restful sleep. My one suggestion is that the hotel might consider putting more lounge-like seating in the lobby area to allow people to read and rest there in greater comfort. June 30, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Reasonable price for the room More care needed to be taken in the appearance of the fixtures (i.e. toilet, shower head, light switch covers), coffee pot in the room was filthy and therefore did not use it. The breakfast was less that perfect: limited selection, eggs were watery, sausage cold and gravy tasteless. The tables were not cleaned between guest uses. Front desk staff, for the most part, was attentive to guests checking in or out. The hotel served the purpose of a place to sleep for the night while traveling, but would not want to spend more than one night there. Signs posted in hallways stated that remodeling was being done, but never saw anyone working, etc. June 24, 2014

I was able to relax despite being the driver and only male in a van full of women (wife, sister in law, niece and mother in law) on a road trip from IL to VA and back again. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the price, at all The staff at the desk were exceptionally polite, courteous, helpful and apologetic for the Hotel and its condition. 1. Quality of the room(s) is of a third-world country standard. 2. The bathroom tub would not drain 3. There was no Clock/Alarm unit in our room. I had to go to the front desk to request one. 4. There were rust leakings in the bathroom tub. 5. The pillows were all baby-size pillows and made it very difficult to fall asleep. 6. The Computer in the Business Center did not work with the passwords given. 7. I can go on, and on, and on. Simply put, the value of the hotel was definitely not worth the money paid. April 16, 2014

Water was cold in the pool the first day. remolding to the bathroom had caused problems that resulted in no hot water in the tub/shower. A discount and a room changed corrected all the problems and we will probably stay there again. March 27, 2014

However, the key to my room would not work every time I went out and came back. There was no phone in my room at all and the back door had been damaged so it would not close and could not be secured during the night. March 19, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to standard I chose this property due to location, and the fact that the reputation of Holiday Inn Express (to me) is one of cleanliness and modern amenities. This property falls far short of Holiday Inn Express. It was a tired old property which had been re-branded, and fell far short of my expectations. Upon arrival, I was put into a room in which the previous guest had clearly smoked heavily. While the front desk clerk was able to move me to another room, Housekeeping should have never allowed this room to put into inventory in such a state (alternately, maybe Housekeeping DID report the state of the room, and management allowed it). Overall, if your expectation is of a clean, modern-feeling Holiday Inn Express, you will be disappointed. March 10, 2014

Definitely in need of an over haul; rooms are shabby & worn looking as are hallways. No acknowledgement of being a platinum member - when I asked about any possible upgrades, the desk clerk didn't know what that meant? Really? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Property in bad repair and service variable Upon arrival it took desk clerk three tries to find a usable room even though we had requested room 101 when making our reservation. It was not ready. Room 108 was assigned even though the heating and AC unit was dismantled and laying all over the floor. Moved us to Room 104 and the door would not lock after we moved in and were leaving to attend church. Time was getting short. Finally moved us to Room 101. During our four night stay the TV did not match the directory until the end of our stay. The coffee pot had to sit on the floor in order to reach an outlet and was not serviced on the last night of our stay. December 31, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by One fo the worse high dollar motel I ever stayed in. This is a very disgusting place to stay for over $100 a night. The rooms have no in room lighting at all. Have to use cell phone light to unpack. The window curtain does not block all out side light. Rugs are old and dirty. Bed spreads were dirty and smelly When I made reservations I requested a small refrigerator in room, (for my insulin). When I ask why I did not have one in my room the desk clerk said that would be more money. Outside my window was a all night truck stop approximately. 100 ft. away. Very noisy November 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay at this hotel. This hotel was not our first choice and we will not stay here again. The bed did not have a mattress pad on it the first night and when I requested one the front desk person said they didn't usually put those on the beds. He did have someone find one and had it put on the bed but it wasn't much. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were small and worn. Breakfast at 6:30AM was nice since my husband had to be on a job site at 7AM. However, the eggs were lukewarm at that time and there were no oatmeal packets available which I think could easily be a staple on a breakfast bar. I told the front desk clerk at check in that we would be paying with a different credit card at check out, not the one I gave her at that time. Instead, when my husband checked out six nights later, he was told that the card had already been run through and they couldn't change that. A string of disappointments during the entire stay will not have us returning here, although his job will be sending him back to the area periodically. November 5, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel is worn out & needs repairs It would appear the owner of this property will not spend money to keep up the property. Management team was nice and apologized for the condition of the facility. Traveling on business, needed good WIFI to work. No work desk or extra outlets to plug computer into. Internet in this hotel is very poor, only one bar and kept getting knocked off line. TV would not work with remote, clerk did not have a replacement, had to turn on manually. Carpet worn & dirty, walls had stains and scuff's. Both tub and sink were plugged. Shower head corroded This is by far the worst Holiday Inn Express I have ever stayed in. I would have left but all hotels in area were booked October 16, 2013
