Although we experienced difficulties with the air conditioning on the first night, the staff exceeded expectations trying to resolve the issue. We have stayed at this hotel for the past 7-10 years and this was one of the best! The breakfast buffet (although pricey) was phenomenal and the Tiki Hut bar tender is great.

The Holiday Inn Beach House is our annual vacation choice because it is family oriented. The rooms were clean but we especially enjoy the pool and beach. The customer service was especially wonderful this year in part because a new night employee, John R., made our trip more enjoyable by quickly solving two problems for us--faulty a/c and no housekeeping service. He did so in a very professional, caring manner which we appreciated and I noticed that he did so with other guests as well. He is a real credit to the hotel. We definitely plan to stay at the Beach House again--great choice for a family.

this was my second experience staying at this hotel and I have to say that there wasn't much improvement from the first, which was lousy to say the least. The beds are hard as rocks, the carpet in the room was disgustingly dirty as well as the bathroom. They put so much work into the public areas of the hotel with their renovations but they neglected the most important area, the guest rooms. They lack comfort and ambiance of the true beauty of the island.
There are too many things to list that need significant improvements. To become a five star resort they need to invest in a qualified consultant or they will just be the Holiday Inn.

To be completely honest, the location of this hotel is amazing!! We had a couple hiccups while we were there but nothing major. There was a little confusion when checking in and another hiccup checking out. Traveling with a 10 month old baby, having the hotel directly on the beach was so convenient. We literally didn't move our car all weekend. We got there Friday night at like 11pm and it was hard to find parking, but there was a guy there to direct you to where you could park. The hotel lobby was humid and hot. The front desk reps were great tho! The hotel room looked exactly like the pictures. The air condition in the room was nice but turned off automatically once it reached a temp, which was sometimes annoying when the room temp wasn't what you wanted it to be. There was some peeling/chips in the tub, and a bleach stain on the duvet on the bed, which they stated the hotel is under renovation, but the room was clean and spacious for the three of us. The "Porch" Restaurant near the pool was pricey, they took forever to get our food out, and with a baby we needed to be quick. The pool was nice, but it was like a sauna, prob because it was so hot out! The Tiki Food and Bar was amazing, order from them versus the "Porch"!! It's literally steps away from the Beach which we loved, but there was so much people from other hotels that kept walking through to access the beach. The live music every night was nice!! We had an amazing time!! Great stay for families, & couples!! Great quick get away!! The price of the hotel was worth it because of the location!! Will definitely be back!!

the carpet is soiled and does not look clean, the rooms are musty smelling and the door would not shut completely. You had to make sure it was closed when you went out. Using the door handle to get it was difficult. If I had stayed more than one day I would have asked for another room.
