My best friend and I met for the night and we loved this place. The decor was refreshing and light. Hardwood floors all through out. I will stay here again. The staff we all very nice, except for when we returned to our hotel we wanted room service and the woman who answered the phone did not want to deal with it. I cant say I totally blame her it was 11:30 pm but still if its offered and its your job you should at least ACT happy! Like I said other than that everything was perfect!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cforce13 Great Affordable Hotel with emphasis on customer satisfaction
Came upon this hotel simply by checking out the area places to stay - Curbside appeal got me to notice and explore what they had to offer. - Nice, comfortable at ease decor theme greets you as you enter.
A very welcoming front desk and easy quick checkin process.
Only minor issue I had during my extended stays was the varying quanity of towels - some days you got the 3 you should have - some days you got 2 - some days you got a face cloth, hand towel and 1 bath towel - clearly not enough... This ongoing inconsistency is slightly annoying but was always easily remedied within minutes after informing front desk or onsite manager.
Highly recommend the bistro in teh evenings - great place for good food, drinks and friendly conversations .
Rooms had HD 42 " televisions and provided 2 HBO premium channels for no additional charge. - I will be returning for sure.

The hotel is inexpensive flash, the gentleman who greeted me was very professional. The two ladies on desk were lost.
Same applied at rest/bar the young man working the bar my first night was professional and personable. The girl who worked my second night? Where did you find her.? She was distracted w more than one task, not friendly. If she worked for me she would have been let go w career advise to get a job w no human interaction.

I travel a lot with my job. I have been a platinum status member for 4 years at least. I have stayed at this hotel probably 75-100+ nights since it opened. I have watched the current office manager, Melissa, work her way up from a third shift night clerk. We know each other by name.
Last night 9-11-2013 I had a reservation with confirmed late arrival. As I was pulling into the hotel at 10pm, my phone starts ringing and I see it's the hotel calling. I go in and the person at the desk, (Korea, that's his name) tells me that there is a problem with my reservation and they have had to move me to another brand hotel down at the next exit. I told him there was not a problem because I has a confirmation number and I was a Platinum Elite member. Korea then tells me that a flight crew had arrived with an extra person and they gave that person my room.
So if I had arrived 5 minutes earlier would they have made me leave my room? or would they have sent the unexpected guest down the road to the other motel?
It's pretty clear to me that all my past stays and the money that I have spent there mean nothing to this hotel. It's an incredible business model that allows a business to snub their most loyal customers.
The good news is there are plenty of other hotel chains with nice rooms that are ready and willing to have new customers.
Goodbye IHG and hello competition.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jack10001 Good but with some issues
Me and my girlfriend stayed at a suite. While the design of the room was very nice with a tv in the living room and bedroom, huge bathroom (almost too big) there were a few things we did not like. First of all breakfast is not free, that was a shocker considering how much we paid and really felt like a slap in the face... The AC was running even through the setting was above the room temperature and at night it automatically went even lower, I successfully turned it off, but it came back on a few hours later. The way the vent is positioned the air is blowing on your head all night while you sleep, which made it extremely uncomfortable.
We ordered dinner into our room, it was delivered fairly quickly and pricing was ok, the cheeseburger was good, however crab cakes that my girlfriend got were terrible (she doesn't eat meat).
WiFi did not work, could not log in.
Staff were ok, didn't have a problem.
TV would not let me play content from my phone through the USB drive (source option was not functional on the remote).
I definitely do not recommend getting a suite for the extra $70 it is a waste of money. The balcony faces the parking lot and it is angled towards the building, it is also very tiny and not well maintained.
Like I mentioned the shower was huge, looked very nice. We tried the air bathtub/Jacuzzi and it was nice, but very load, difficult to relax.
The furniture was interesting, but stains of all kinds were present everywhere in the room including the walls. One of the pillows had a stain on it as well so we discarded it on the floor.
Not much better or worse from the other hotels, but the layout of the room does make it feel morel like an apartment rather than a hotel room, which gives a nice feeling.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DamonS Interesting hotel, quiet neighborhood
A beautiful, modern looking hotel amid office parks near the Research Triangle Park. The property is very nice, and the location (from a business perspective) is great. However, the property also has nothing open around it in the evening -- so if you're looking for that, this isn't the hotel for you. A benefit of this is that the area is beautifully quiet in the evenings, despite being very close to the highway & airport.
Service was wonderful, the bar was enjoyable, and if I return to the area on business I would gladly stay here again. But I wouldn't recommend for leisure travelers.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The beds were very comfortable. Our king sized bedroom was cramped with 2 people. The 2 queen sized bedrooms were more spacious feeling. The AC left a lot to be desired. Loud and inconsistent. It was freezing cold or stuffy hot with no changes to the thermostat.

I recently stayed at the Hotel for a business trip and was very disappointed with the stay, the AC unit was extremely loud and kept me up most of the night. I found a roach in my room and felt very uncomfortable sleeping in the bed as the sheets were extremely rough.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Angie23 College Move In
Our family needed to find a hotel that would not only accommodate we as parents, but also our 4 legged friends! We have two Labradors and just moved to Charlotte 2 weeks prior to our daughter leaving for college, with no one to take care of the dogs. In our previous city, we had a Hotel Indigo and knew they were pet friendly, plus knew how nice the rooms of the Hotel were. We were not disappointed with this location either! Room was clean and had NO pet odors from prior customers, easy in and out for our dogs and very comfortable sleeping for all. Also, it was very convenient to campus, a 11-15 min. drive.
I would not hesitate to repeat our next stay there, with or without dogs. Very nice interior and great staff. Would have been nice, though, to have a free breakfast added, but that would be my only minor issue..

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Deepsnow My First Stay and Hotel Indigo...and a plan to return!
I chose Hotel Indigo to have a refreshing experience and I believe I had just that. The standard take on a hotel room is met with a very inviting room from bold, bright, and cheery colors to the character in the furniture and decor. It was not a huge room, but very cozy and packed full of functional, comfortable and aesthetic furniture and fixtures. A nice entry way greeted me with a stand and coffee service as well as a frosted glass window bordering the bed area. The presence of a curved wall enclosing the closet place and provision of a drape to shield it gave the room a very modern and fun look vs. the excessively square and rectangular design, even though the room's actual boundaries were square. I liked the cabinets with shelves instead of drawers and the desk space was the most usable and practical space I have never had for my laptop. The chair was not a simple four legged stiff dining room style chair, but a modern rolling office chair that was adjustable and extremely comfortable. The bed had a very soft top but still supportive and very comfy. Plus, in addition to good pillows for sleeping, there were over-sized upholstered pillows for sitting up and watching TV in bed and that provision was a first in any standard room I have stayed in. Turning to the bath, I was even more impressed. I loved the bright white and well-lighted bath with adequate ventilation and a large shower with stool provided in it and hooks for towels and wash cloths. The shower had three tiled walls but the wall facing the interior of the bath was glass and was right in front of the mirror, so I could shave in the bathroom mirror while standing in the shower. Fixtures were unique, modern, and stylish for a standard hotel room. Finally, the door to the hallway closed without slamming and offered good sound isolation while the centralized air conditioning control was very appreciated and did a great job of keeping the room cool. The rest of the facility was clean and bright, the restaurant has excellent food (great breakfast) though a little pricey (compared to the room), and the staff were very happy and helpful, save one worked who seemed "distracted" or "removed" from reality. The one disappointing thing was finding the hot tub and pool to be close for 2 of the 4 nights I stayed due to maintenance issues...and since that plays heavily into my choice of hotel, it reduced my rating by one start as did the one staff member. However, all things considered and with many travel experiences to draw from, I found this hotel to be just what I wanted and needed for a hotel experience it its departure from the boring, sterile, formal, and "routine."

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hannahd19 Don't stay here
Stayed here for two nights the end of July 2013. I was impressed upon driving up and at the entry; however, that quickly faded when I got to the elevators and noticed how banged up the paint was.
I should've left when I walked up to my room and had to wheel all my luggage around a refrigerator that was sitting in front of my door. Later, maintenance knocked on my door (the guy had a cup hanging out his mouth when I opened the door, which he proceeded to leave in my room when he left) and apparently they were trying to deliver the refrigerator for some chocolate that my parents had sent me. The back of the fridge was hanging off - when you open the door the whole thing falls forward.
My room was nice with wood floors, some fun colors, and TV, but the maintenance department is awful. The walls were banged up everywhere, bad calking jobs, all of the lampshades had water stains, the A/C doesn't run like it should (it's either hot or cold - no happy medium), the water takes forever to heat up. I would turn the shower on for at least 3-4 minutes before every shower.
I will be posting pictures of all of this very soon.
JUST DON'T STAY HERE! Don't let the shiny look fool you - it's nasty! I am a woman and could see the disrepair this place was in.

Having stayed at the Hotel Indigo in Asheville for double the price of this one, I was a little worried about what I'd get for such a low rate. Know what I got? The same levels of friendliness, cleanliness, and comfort. Hotel Indigo is definitely my favorite of the IHG hotel brands (wish they were in every city...get on it!), but all IHG hotels are reliable and I won't stay anywhere else.

I enjoyed my recent stay at Hotel Indigo. I was impressed by the spaciousness of the room and the bathroom. There was plenty of room for 2 double beds, a desk area, and a sitting area to read a book. I loved, loved, loved, the walk-in shower.
I found the blue/green color scheme to be soothing and restful.

Spouse & I flew in on a late flight. Shuttle driver was very courteous and informative. Was greeted at front desk with warm hospitality. This hotel had a full bar and resturant on site which was a life saver being that it was close to midnight. We still was able to get something to eat and the Kitchen Crew and waitress was very very accomadating. Sharnay, I believe was the waitress name. Loved her!! The spa like atmosphere drew you in and you were relaxing before you even got to the room. The room...OMG check out needs to be extended. It was so hard turning the comfortable mattress and serene atmosphere a loose sigh.... I need a Hotel Indigo in Memphis TN just for "Staycations" :)
I thought the continental breakfast was a little pricey. But the overall stay was super!!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Laws1 Wonderful Location, Great Stay
I was in Duham for a conferance and opted to use an IHG hotel to gain points. The hotel was less than a mile from the conferance center and I have to say that this location BLEW away the competition. My director needed a place to stay as well, and I suggested the Hotel Indigo. I think that it was a wise career move, as he was equally impressed with the comfort and location of the facility. The staff was friendly, the hotel was well laid out, and the rooms were clean and stylish. I will certainly consider staying here again if I am in the area again. If you are looking for a location that is near the interstate, food and easily accessible routes then consider this location. The only down side, and unfortunately I have seen this throughout many IHG (at least this is my experiance) is that they do not recognize priority club members. Not sure how to remedy this, even as a platinum member, guess I will have to wait for corperate to make some changes. Oh well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by shuster2009 Love this hotel
We have stayed at hotel Indigo's elsewhere and twice, so far, at this particular hotel (we already have another reservation in a couple of weeks). Our experiences have been very positive. After reading other reviews, I felt compelled to write my own. Unless each room have totally different mattresses and showers, I can't imagine how someone can say that these rooms are uncomfortable and the shower has no water pressure. We found the exact opposite. Hotel staff upon our arrival has been very friendly and professional. Welcomes us as Priority Club members. Our rooms have been clean and comfortable. We think the bed is extremely comfortable and the shower outstanding for a hotel. Toiletries are a nice quality. I would say our only disappointment was the restaurant. We booked a package that included breakfast and although the food was very good...once we got it, the staff seems totally bewildered at waiting on tables and we were left sitting for an unacceptable amount of time waiting to be acknowledged and then a very long time before our food was served. If the restaurant was busy, it could be overlooked, but we were basically alone with only one other table occupied. Our first morning, the waiter had no idea what the breakfast coupon was and we had to explain it to him.
