This hotel is very convenient for my work and I like the design of the rooms. It is a very comfortable place.
But the service, particular in the restaurant is very poor. I have stayed here often and each time the restaurant staff have been inattentive. No one has been rude, but service is slow and just not very thoughtful. It makes me feel unwelcome. I have switched to other equally convenient hotels in the area. I thought I would try the Indigo again, but it was the same experience.

The reception staff was very pleasant and the contemporary style of the hotel was well done. We had a suite and it was really well appointed and comfortable. Our only complaint would be the in room dining service. The breakfast we ordered was incomplete (no toast). Returned with toast but no butter or jelly. Staff then called to say they had no jelly sorry. Seems as though someone is not paying attention to the supplies and small details.

It all started with check-in. I booked 5 rooms for my sales team. The lady at the front desk had no clue. completely confused. took her a while to understand that people will be coming in at different times and to put rooms in their names. Usually as a platinum member an upgrade is done or some other thing. she said nothing to acknowledge or offer upgrade. I am not looking to be acknowledged but perks of staying more is upgrade etc. As a result checking out was a mess and I just realized that no points were posted to my account. really? I called HG and they quickly fixed it (Thank you-great service there). But this has put a bad taste in my mouth. Service at the bar was simply slow and horrible and mind you there were very few people there. breakfast service was equally slow and there were just 5 of us. Looked like these people have no hospitality experience and hate their jobs? I come to RTP a lot and I really like this hotel but not sure I will stay here.

Upon arrival with my wife, we were thanked (as most Holiday Inn Platinum are) for being platinum. We were then upgraded and the staff went above and beyond with their recommendations for dining, and making sure that we were happy with our stay.
One of the best experiences with Holiday Inn I have EVER had!

When I checked in after a late flight, I realized my allergies were flaring up and needed to visit the local 24-hour Walmart to purchase medication. I asked the gentleman at the front desk to assist me regarding how best to get to the nearest open Walmart. He informed me that it was about 2 miles away and when I suggested I'd simply use my GPS and walk it, he insisted, nearly demanded that I use a taxi. He informed me that the roads were all mud and I'd need to walk on unsafe, muddy surfaces. I agreed and he called me a taxi.
What arrived was a minivan in terrible shape with no markings. When I sat in the vehicle and told the driver where I'd like to go, he had no idea there was a Walmart nearby, when I provided him an address I acquired from the GPS, he had to go inside the hotel and ask what appeared to be his friend behind the counter. While waiting, I noticed that the steering column of the vehicle had been smashed open and the vehicle had no lock, but had instead been hot wired to start it. There was no meter and he could not provide a receipt. The price he charged was at least fair ($5) and he seemed polite. But I really was uncomfortable in this car. Especially since I fear it was stolen and I was carrying nearly $1000 in cash in my pocket at the time.
When I walked back, it was a highly pleasant walking experience on well paved and groomed side walks the entire trip and there was even a McDonalds along the way I used to purchase a drink so I could take my medicine.
I would recommend avoiding this hotel as it appears they do a poor job of screening their staff.

The hotel is new, the bed is very comfortable, the room and hotel have a modern upscale feel. The only downside is the food. A continental breakfast consisted of stale bakery products. If you order from the menu the selection is extremely limited and no better than continental items offered. Also hotel was not on my GPS or iPhone so know how to get there ahead of time.

I love this hotel.... and I've stayed here nearly 50 nights this year. However, since the owners decided to change management, the new "manager" has either fired or forced out nearly half the staff. This is still a good hotel, spotlessly clean, and the front desk is courteous and works to make your stay enjoyable.
However, the "fun" is gone from this place as every week I stay here I'm greeted by new faces, and learn my old favorites are now history. I've been trying for weeks to speak with the new manager, but she never seems to be available. As a Platinum Ambassador for the past few years, I don't think this is too much to ask.

Really a surprisingly nice hotel- never had stayed in this chain before- very nice. If you like aloft brand- you would be pleased. The bed was just great- rested very comfortably- would stay again. easy on and off the highway- decent location.

As usual the rooms were very nice!
What surprised me was the lack of service from the bar and restaurant. I have stayed here many many times and never had the service been this poor. Menu items not available, equipment not working. As one who travels a lot, going down for breakfast and eggs not being available due to shuttle driver forgetting to pick them up is not a good sign.
Not sure I will stay again, may move up the road.

I was looking for a short weekend of fun for myself and friends and made reservations for two rooms based on the service, amenities, and decor. What a pleasant surprise!
The rooms were tropical, similar to South Beach Miami and greeted us with classical music and an amazing presentation. The room was the right temperature with excellent decor and an amazing bathroom complete with a clear glass shower that was quite attractive.
Downstairs at the main entrance I was greeted with polite front desk staff and a bar bustling with visitors. The pool and hot tub were quite inviting. Later that night, my guests and I spent several hours at the pool and brought our drinks from the bar which was conveniently located footsteps from the pool. Overall, while small, the pool area strongly met my expectations.
My only disappointments were that the breakfast times were incorrect and I was unable to order or get breakfast in the morning and the evening bartender did not have an average selection of liquor to make drinks. The front desk and bartender were polite however. I would definitely stay at an Indigo again. Pleasant stay at a good price.

All in all the hotel proposes nice, quit and comfortable room. the bathroom clean with nice design.
The gym while small is made of up to date equipements.
Do not expet great breakfast, and not great service. For more than a full week broken waffle instrument, plastic glass for orange juice while real glass displayed in the bar shelf, really poor choice of items.

We were traveling to Wilmington NC, and even though 2 hours further decided to stay at the Indigo Hotel to see what its all about since it is part of the Intercontinental Hotel Family. Great experience, friendly staff, close to both Raleigh & Durham. Food at the Hotel restaurant was very good. Computers with a printer in the lobby helpful for last minute boarding passes or any research of the area. The hotel manager, Mike, was extremely kind in a business like way which is very refreshing in this day and age of scripts (words we must say & use) for customer communication. Front desk staff all friendly and kind.. Can't ask for much more for a 1 night stay. Rooms are clean, beautiful and better than most Hotels. If you don't like bright colors throughout the hotel and in your room, this may not be your hotel for a long stay. The pictures on the website are accurate. Give it a try!

I gave my eleven year old daughter a birthday sleepover party at Hotel Indigo and we all had a wonderful time. My daughter and her guests were in awe...like they were at a resort. For them, (with the use of the pool and whirlpool spa), I guess it was (smile). The hotel is beautiful, colorful, and the staff was very welcoming. They couldn't do enough to help us with our stay. I have recommended the Durham Hotel Indigo to others. Thank you.

So stayed here for two nights on a business trip. Normally Holiday Inn premier is welcomed with a nice cold beverage and a snack. Here I was welcomed with warm water and a fortune cookie. Insulting when they have a whole 'Pantry' right across the lobby. A $10 welcome credit would have been much more worth it.
The room itself was spacious with the exception of the 'balcony' - don't fall for the upcharge folks, it's a 4' by 2' area hidden behind a sign that barely fits a chair. The jacuzzi tub was nice, until the front of it fell off. I kid you not and have picture to prove it.
The first night I stopped in their restaurant to have dinner, The had a caprese style salad I thought looked good, only to be told ten minutes after I ordered it that they were out of tomatoes. Oh and fresh Mozzarella, and lettuce, so salads were out. I ended up with chips and a queso that was nice but salty as heck.
My room was supposed to come with a complimentary continental breakfast. When I ordered it, I also requested the addition of a bagel and a diet coke. I was told it would arrive in 20 minutes. An HOUR later it arrived, and to my surprise, without the breakfast!!! Just a bagel and diet coke! I had to go to get to work so I grabbed my bagel breakfast and left.
I returned at 4pm to find my room still not cleaned. I went to the front desk and asked them to please take care of it while I went to dinner. I was informed housekeeping had left for the day but if I needed towels they'd get me one or two.
So let's sum it up. Free breakfast that they failed to deliver on. Uncaring, overworked staff that really don't give a care beyond their shift ending, no housekeeping, tub falling apart, and no food in the restaurant.
Also check out the people below me smoking up a storm on their balcony using a coffee cup as an ashtray. No smoking hotel my rear end.
Holiday inn - if this is your answer to boutique hotels give it up right now. I will never, ever stay at this property again and am unlikely to ever try another Indigo

Hotel Indigo's RTP location retains the "vibe" that sets them apart from most similarly-priced offerings. The location is close to the I-40, I-440, I-540, and RDU (all convenient). Room was very clean, well appointed, and the internet (both wireless and ethernet) speeds were sufficient (I should start logging speeds for comparisons).
I also enjoy the comfortable bedding and selection of pillows.
Nice place, nice staff. I'll be back.

As a 22 year old brain cancer patient who ALWAYS stays at a Hotel Indigo (while visiting doctors AND leisure trips), I couldnt be more annoyed than I was with the past visit. I had to deal with a horrid front desk assistant that did not respect me or the simple request I had for her. I assume that since she was much older than myself she felt the need to have an attitude... this was not appreciated nor tolerated. I had to call front desk both nights and eventually ended up speaking to the general manager, who finally fixed the simple problem. I did ask for her to be spoken to and change the attitude she gave me. Love the hotel though, the first 3 visits were great! Not sure I will return to this hotel for the upcoming appointment though.

We had a beautiful time at the Hotel Indigo and although we came into town for a conference at a different location we did not want leave the Hotel Indigo at all. The room was more than comfortable...it was relaxing and rejuvenating. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.

This is a great looking hotel from the moment you pull in the drive. The interior is very modern and colorful, incorporating the vibrant colors of sealife, flora and other nature related items to bring a very upbeat tempo into this chain.
Despite the fun decor and adequately appointed rooms (and a killer open shower, that is great except that we were travelling with a toddler) we just so happened to be at the hotel on a night that the fire alarm went off at 0400, yes that is in the AM and we were out in the cold waiting for the building to be cleared until 0500, only to be up an hour later. While I doubt this had anything to do with the staff, it nonetheless took away from our trip.
The dining options were very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic. The bacon, egg and cheese on freshly made croissants with a side of fresh fruit was fantastic and the chef brought the food out personally. However, the waitress taking orders and payments at the cash register let multiple people order their food items and try to present a credit card for payment before informing them (and us) that the credit card machine was down and could we pay with cash. This should have been the first thing out of her mouth, or she should have had a sign posted rather than allow multiple patrons to order before informing them of this issue.
Otherwise it was a very nice hotel. We always stay at IHG hotels, but usually choose the Holiday Inn Express. We chose the Hotel Indigo for this particular trip because it was being offerred during a promotion for 5000 Priority Clubs for the night and that was too good to pass up. I do not know that I would stay again, but if it werent for the fire alarm (which again I doubt was the fault of the hotel or staff, and more likely the doing of a fellow guest) or credit card machine debaucle I would have had nothing but good things to say about the hotel.

I stayed at this hotel on business. I travel a lot, and this was my first stay at a Hotel Indigo.
The property wa clean and comfortable, with refreshing decor. The staff was helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay here again.

I had a fabulous, restful 50th birthday weekend at Hotel Indigo, RTP! The front desk staff warmly addressed me the entire weekend and the atmosphere just makes me feel good! I'm still smiling from the experience . . .
The Double Queen with Seating Area was big and refreshing with wood floors instead of carpet, a chair, couch, etc. Upon arrival, the music was playing, curtains open allowing natural light plus the comfortable robe spread on the bed was a nice touch.
The hotel was quiet, room service was discreet (I didn't see them but knew they had taken care of my room) and the bar personnel were friendly and attentive. The food was good especially for a mini-restaurant!
I can't wait to go back for another getaway!

Definitely a very fresh take on hotel decor. Bright fun colors and cool theme. Room service was good, but over priced. Bed was VERY comfortable. Bathroom was amazing. HUGE walk-in shower and great jetted tub. Clean and quiet. Customer service was a little shaky. Perfectly courteous, just seemed a bit disorganized.
