Only a couple things to say that will be negative. First, at check in My wife and I were greeted and thanked for being a Priority Club Platinum member and the check in was overall okay. I was also presented a gift for being a platinum member. I understand it is a free gift but it contained one small 8oz bottle of water, a bag of chips and a rice krispy treat. I looked at my wife and said "I guess you are out of luck". It looks like to me they did not think about anyone but me being in the room even though I noted at the time of booking the room that my wife and I would be there.
The room was great and the view was also great. The only downside there would have been the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom and the fact that the room's main door would not close and lock without pulling it when you leave the room. Something that I discovered when we returned and I just pushed on the door and it opened. No harm though since we were not missing anything. The last thing is the location of the restroom when you are in the bar. The basement could only be reached by elevator and it was slow. Don't wait until you are in a tight before you decide to go or else it can be a little uncomfortable. Overall we had a good time and would stay here again.

With many nights experience of staying in Holiday Inns and Crowne Plazas, I was looking forward to my first ever stay in an Indigo Hotel. But if they are anything like this one, I won't bother again. The room, while clean and reasonably well-equipped was small and cramped, with an incredibly noisy air-conditioning system.. Hotel facilities are limited. Location is good, but Downtown San Antonio is relatively small and easy to walk around, so the proximity to the Alamo is not a huge advantage. Breakfast on Sunday morning was an uninspiring buffet, so I ate elsewhere for rest of my stay. Maybe I caught the front desk staff on a bad day, but at check-in it felt they would rather I had stayed anywhere else - not the sort of welcome I have come to expect as a Platinum Priority Club member. My business colleague stayed at the other Indigo Hotel in San Antonio and spoke very highly of it. If I return to San Antonio, I think I might go with his recommendation and give this hotel a miss.

Great stay and staff!!! The only, "critique" would be the gym equipment and the shower in our room. The universal system had some cables that were detached. In the shower poured water out onto the floor outside of the shower.
It was a small inconvenience to an otherwise spectacular stay! Excellent hotel staff very friendly and accommodating thank you!

There was a lot of noise but I guess that is expected since we are on the river walk..i did ask for a wake up call but never got it...what I thought was interesting my nephew got a lower rate than what I had..You have a good staff and very helpful.. I still liked your hotel and will stay there

I stayed at this hotel hoping to spend a nice couple of days in San Antonio with my family, I had stayed at Indigo hotels before and had loved their cool designs and above all the great service so I naturally had high expectations for this hotel but WHAT A DISAPOINTMENT it really was.
My room had a sofá bed which hadn´t been made - so I asked housekeeping to send someone up to make it, they told me that there was no housekeeping staff and they said all they could d was to send sheets up and expected me to make my own bed as a paying guest!.
another added bonus :the quality of the matress was ridiculously bad, there were wires sticing out which made it all the more unconfortable.
Rooms are not clean, not well kept, thare aree hand stains on the walls, floors are dirty and worst of all shower and toilet are also dirty.
bathrooms have no extraction so you are stuck with bad smells all night. Windows do not open either
Air conditioning is weak so the room is extremely warm when you come in and takes long to cool down
all in all a TERRIBLE experience, management of the hotel do not care and show Little interest in helping and failed to effectively address the issues.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF U CAN!

The concept of this hotel with it's historical touch is ingenious. The location is fabulous and right in the middle of a lot of fun stuff to do, but more importantly the hotel staff were exceptional! We were greeted and congratulated on 25yrs of marriage as well as upgraded to a better room for our celebratory weekend. During the stay when the valet attendant went for our car, he came back with flowers and told us it was for our anniversary. Sweet folks!
The only drawbacks of this location is there isn't any parking other than valet and it wasn't cheap. Also, it would have been nice to have a pool or hot tub. So, the next time we go back, it might be hard not to choose a place with parking and a pool.
Hats off to the staff though! Great job!

I have never stayed in Hotel Indigo before and didn't know this one across from the Alamo even existed. From the minute I arrived (Ramones "Don't Come Close" playing in the lobby) I knew this was going to be a different type of hotel. They staff was very helpful. Each room is unique and refreshing. The gym and restaurant were very adequate. I travel extensively on business and I usually stay in generic Marriott Courtyard or Hilton rooms. This was a nice break from tradition. Reminded me of a European boutique hotel.

Overall we really enjoyed staying at this property. Easy access to the Alamo and Riverwalk. The building retains much of its original charm while also having the modern conveniences you need. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

We enjoyed the location walking distance to most sites. Room was clean and bright. Restaurant food quality was below average. Overall I would stay again because there plenty of dining choices with in walking distance.

We visited this hotel because we arrived a day early in San Antonio for a visit with our son at Randolph AFB. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a suite, due to our Priority Club elite status. When we arrived in our suite, we were absolutely delighted. The suite was on the top floor, and overlooked the Alamo Plaza. We looked out our window and were enchanted by the view and the proximity to everything San Antonio has to offer. We were about two blocks from the River Walk, on the main drag for all of the attractions, and a short walk away from parking, which was handled by our valet.
Our only complaint was the bed. It was a king sized bed that had separated in the center and was miserable to sleep on. We finally turned 90 degrees to make the night a little more bearable. We reported the problem to the staff the next morning and they were very sympathetic, but, because we were checking out, we are not aware of whether they rectified the problem.
The hotel is beautiful and full of Texas charm. The staff is delightful, very knowledgeable about the area and local dining. I would highly recommend a visit here, just check the bed before you settle in. Perhaps if we had we could have had the problem taken care of earlier and enjoyed a more restful night.

We had a great time, the location was great, short walk to Alamo and shops, short distance to riverwalk. Great breakfast included with stay, staff extremely polite and very nice. Small glitch with our wash cloths one night but otherwise great service, rooms and beds are nice, neat old building.

Enjoyed our stay here. Very good location. Easy walk to Rierwalk. ****Only negative was my experience with the valet service. My car was damaged by the valet and I didn't notice until I had gotten home. The company that does the valet (Hospitality Parking) would do nothing about it because it wasn't reported prior to leaving the hotel. If you stay here make sure you walk around your vehicle prior to leaving, or self park.***

I traveled with a group of 24 and stayed at the Indigo. The staff was wonderful - from concierge to the front desk - everyone was kind and helpful. The rooms were nice, clean, and the decor beautiful. This was a great experience.

Elevators are a little irritating. Other than that, it was great. Excellent service from the hotel, resturant, and valet staff! Made you feel as if you were family! Great job!

The room, like the whole hotel, was a very cool combination of old and new. Modern room accommodations (TV, bed, bathroom, etc.) but the room air conditioner/heater was very noisy. The front desk offered no way to fix it other than leaving the fan in Low versus Auto....so the noise would be continuous instead of intermittent? Breakfast buffet was nice and the servers were very courteous.

This Hotel is diagonally across the street from the Alamo and only 2 blocks from the river. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and professional, except the servers in the restaurant was slow on service. However, the breakfast was good. We ate out the rest of the time. The Tower of the Americas is only a quarter of a mile, so even it was within walking distance. That was my first time to the Riverwalk and i will stay there again, because of the hospitality and convenience to the river.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Indigo. We liked that the floor in our room was hardwood, vs. carpet; it felt cleaner to us. Although not right on the river, the location is within walking distance to most attractions. I can't say enough about the staff--every one we encountered was friendly, and always had smiles for us. They were helpful when we needed directions, etc. We would definately stay there again !!

A wonderful place to stay and so close to everything San Antonio. Just a block or two away from the Riverwalk and right across the street from the Alamo. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all needs. Enjoyed the free appatizers for being a Priority Club member and the discount on the valet parking. Loved the ambiance of the rooms.

I typically like staying at the Indigo Alamo over the one on St Mary's. Its location is great to walk to restaurants and nightlife and the rooms are well set and maintained. I have experienced a less than stellar stay on this visit. I noticed that you've done away with the 2 free drinks program and instead have offered a free appetizer. I think more patrons would use the drink coupons Vs the food which is more than likely why you made the change? Anyway my biggest grip is over two other points. I asked the clerk at the front desk in the morning for a late checkout because my wife was with me and felt ill. He made a pretty big deal of it and gave me till noon. Secondly I called down for my car and 40 yes 40 minutes later still no car. The valet guy told me he was working between two hotels and I had to walk to your lot to get my car with him. Unprofessional and a timely delay I didn't need that morning. I will stay with IHG properties but more than likely will start giving the Crowne Plaza a turn in the future.

My husband and I just spent 5 nights here. We only used our car one day to visit the Missions. It was quick and easy to get the car. It was great to get up and just walk two blocks to the Riverwalk. If we were tired we just walked back for a small breather. There are so many wonderfuls places to walk to. All of the staff were very warm and welcoming going out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We did get some muffins and cakes from their restaurant. They were really yummy! We will definitely come again and have already recommended it to friends.

Staff were exceptionally helpful. Room was beautifully furnished. Parking right next door. Exceptionally good price for the location - right next to river walk and Alamo, and 10 minutes from convention center. Worked exceptionally well for my needs. Priority Club.

The hotel is in a great location. It is cool and modern. My stay was for 5 days and I was there for business. My hotel room did not have a chest of drawers and the closet size was small. I prefer to unpack my clothes and because there was no where to put my folded items, I was not able to. I would go back to the hotel, but would ask for a larger room and ensure it has a chest of drawers.

This was our 2nd stay at the hotel. The king room was extremely small & it was not easy to get around the area. We were there for business & it was difficult to set up our work space & computers; definitely not big enough for 2 persons. The room is in need of repainting; there were black marks on several of the walls. The bath was good size w/nice large shower. However, the cleaning staff failed to clean the bath area as I found there was left over baby powder on the sink area after I had used it that morning. Also, the coffee maker was not emptied or cleaned; nor were the coffee mugs or glasses cleaned or replaced & the water in the ice bucket emptied. There was dust on the legs of the desk chair. I had requested extra pillows & though I received them, they did not have pillow cases on them. The size of the pillow is ridiculous & even if you use 3-4 , it still makes for a very uncomfortable bed. ( I know that many hotels have replaced regularly sized pillows w/ these smaller ones, but they are all terrible & uncomfortable. The view of the Alamo is lovely at nite & the location of the hotel is very convenient. I would stay again if there are larger rooms & the cleanliness & thoroughness of the housekeeping staff improved. The front desk staff & valet were friendly & professional.
