I made the booking for my brother who was in purpose of honeymoon. During the reservation, there was some mistakes that i made which caused some inconvenience to the hotel. However, from General manger to reservation staff, they gave me the greatest supports and helps. They also help me to arrange a bottle of Sparkling wine for them which made their trip very impressive.

The Holiday Inn Express located in Patong Beach is an excellent choice for any traveller in the area. The hotel is new, clean, bright, and smartly decorated. The staff is unparalleled i terms of service and attitude. They were so helpful with every need I had. There are great common areas to relax and read a paper or even meet fellow travelers. The pool is fantastic although it closes at 8:00 pm. The breakfast assortment is varied and the quality is quite good. If you plan on staying for more than a few nights, it does get a little boring. Perhaps changing more than the way the eggs are cooked each day would be a positive step. On the plus side, the coffee is FANTASTIC and there is so much fresh fruit and juices available to choose from. There are computers available for use as well as a fully equipped reasonably priced laundry room to use - heaven sent! The located is fantastic: 1/2 block from the beach and only a few short blocks to the hustle and bustle.
The downside to my visit was the construction going on next door. It was quite noisy. However, I was in the room closest to the construction so I'm sure my experience was much different than that of everyone else. Also, the construction project is almost finished so its really not to be considered when contemplating a visit to the hotel.
Again, let me mention just how fantastic the staff is. What a hotel. What a value. This is the best value in Patong.

-liked the lobby and open space concept in central areas.
-small but nice pool area.
-breakfast was barely average but many people liked the take away coffee cups (not a coffee drinker myself but seems to be a nice feature)
-room was nice with enough space and comfy bed but no amenities ready to go in bathroom (available only on request).
i was by myself but two chairs per room/balcony would be a plus (instead of just one).
-liked the spacious closet and easy to use in room safe.
-location was great. easy walk to beach, shops, restaurants.
-overall nice property but not much character. good value if you arent looking for luxury but clean and modern standard.

I stayed two nights in Holiday Inn Express Patong Beach Central with my family and friends. It's a good time.
The only uncomfortable thing is the high price of the van parked near the gate, which was printed "Holiday Inn" logo. It costs 300THB to Jungcelon; the distance is only 2KM.
