We were at Eugene Springfield Candlewood for almost a month, having arrived the day after the 50 year ice storm. The hotel is on the EmX bus route, which made it possible to get around without our
car for the entire time. The room was spacious, quiet, and had lovely heat and a/c..controlled in our room. The kitchen was stocked with quality pans, a full size refrigerator, and dishwasher and was supplied with toweling, dish soap, towels, and dishwasher tablets. The front desk was staffed round the clock and no matter what time we were up, pleasant helpful members greeted us. A month, especially with severe weather issues, provided plenty of time to see first hand how James and his staff handled the challenges. All the staff we had contact with were professional, kind, and cheerful. The lending library and small onsite store are brilliant additions--as is complimentary coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.--and washer and dryers. The beds were comfortable, and the room was set up with a roomy desk area that was useful instead of sitting on the bed or at a cramped desk. For additional longterm comfort Candlewood provides weekly housekeeping, but towels and linens can be traded in any time guests want to.
The only issue we had that could be a problem for others is that the Internet seemed to have low bandwidth and even the change of providers part way through our stay didn't resolve the issue. However, in our case, not great internet but awesome everything else was a trade we were more than happy with. We would and have recommended them. It's a pretty hotel with great staff and amenities.
