Such s fantastic hotel to stay at. We have been regulars down on South bank and Won’t ever go back there! This is our new hotel of choice! Close to everything, we needed but so quiet! Best bed[More] ever! I felt like I had slept for a week![Less]
Fantastic hotel in a great location
Our first impression was a lasting one with friendly and helpful staff. The room was immaculate and the facilities were great.[Less]
A little Disappointed
My wife and I love Intercontinental and absolutely have fallen in love with the Intercontinental in Fiji and Jimbaran in Bali.
Not a single negative and we booked again this year for both[More] destinations.
We had two Christmas functions to attend in Melbourne this past weekend and decided to spoil ourselves and stay at the Intercontinental Rialto on the Club floor using a weekend stay certificate and some points.
We arrived Friday around 3.15pm and checked in on the 4th floor Club check in.
It was afternoon tea time so we decided to partake prior to going to our Club King Spa Suite.
The staff were great and the afternoon tea also, the lounge however is very tired, only has three or maybe four tables with comfortable chairs to sit at the remainder are oversized lounge chairs that are old and very uncomfortable.
Our room 321 was lovely but we would not recommend any one stay in it as it is directly under the Club lounge and furniture being moved and staff doing things can be heard clearly and this is not good for an early night sleeper. As a Spire Ambassador we received our upgrade but the complimentary fruit platter was amusing to say the least.(see picture) Don't think we will stay again unless they upgrade the Club and a few other amenities.[Less]
Though a good hotel, would need further improvement. Staff except for front desk need improvement. Front desk staff in the morning are the only great staff who are very pleasant and vibrant.[More]
Restaurant staff are very glum and super busy.
Night staff at the front desk is pathetic.
Room service when asked for water was informed its chargeable for 4$. Isnt the hotel supposed to provide with a water bottle?????[Less]
Comfortable bed and pillows
Excellent Hotel and great value for money. Whist the air-conditioner worked well, it would be nice to open the window for fresh air.[Less]

Great location, great hotel
Excellent hotel. Only whinge is the check in and out process which was slow and bureaucratic. 10 minutes including wait time to check in. Numerous bits of paper and signatures throughout the[More] process.[Less]
A very welcoming hotel and close to Southbank
Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable, clean and sufficiently modern. Both breakfast and dinner worth eating in for.
We will definitely return.[Less]
