IHG had this "Upto 50% off" offer going on during the Covid-19 time and we decided to avail of this substantial discount and planned a leisure getaway for a day.
Right from the moment we arrived,
we noticed the stringent sanitation processes being followed.
The security guard did a temperature check just while we were entering the property. Then another person came over to help us with the parking.
Once inside the hotel, we were helped at the reception by the staff. We had requested two rooms on the same floor and it took a little while for them to arrange that (apparently another room was getting cleaned), the staff seemed quite willing to help.
As for the room, it was very clean, had a soft, cozy, bouncy bed, clean and bright toilet and bathroom (they had separate toilet and bathroom), a wash-basin and a mirror, mini-fridge, electric kettle and tea/coffee kits, TV, telephone, etc.
The room size was a bit small though.
As for food and dining, guests had to eat at their rooms as public dining had been closed due to Covid-19. The gym too was closed for the same reason.
Food quality: Breakfast was good. However, the lunch and dinner menus were limited and the pizza that we ordered was average, though fries were nice. However, the good thing is that currently they were allowing for food to be ordered from outside and that is what we did too.
The staff is helpful and friendly.
