Ocean City, MD is a resort beach town located in the mid-Atlantic less than
20 minutes from the border of Delaware. During the summer, this ordinarily
small community of about 7,000 year-round resident swells to well over a
quarter million weekend visitors. But it doesn’t have to be summer time to stay in an Ocean City hotel.
Hordes of travelers visit this idyllic beach town gem for its lush,
challenging golf courses, abundant bay and deep-sea fishing, Casino at
Ocean Downs entertainment complex, and the family-friendly Delmarva
Discovery Center. Explore authentic shipwreck recreations and other
seafloor treasures at the Ocean City Life-Saving Station Museum at the
boardwalk’s south end inlet. This museum is one of the last places to learn
about the U.S. Life-Saving Service, the predecessor to today’s Coast Guard. Have a history buff in the family? Take a tour of the town’s historic
sites, including the 1870 Victorian Italianate style Costen House, which
features original, 19th century medical instruments from Dr. Isaac Costen’s
collection. Visit Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum, which consists of
25-wooded acres with indoor and outdoor exhibits like a weaving house,
blacksmith shop, an iron furnace and other meticulously restored 19th
century structures. Naturalists can take a stroll on the mile-long walking
trail, part of the bordering Nassawango Preserve, an off-season birding and
environmentalist destination. When you book a room at one of the IHG hotels in Ocean City, all of these
activities and attractions will be just minutes from your front door. At
day’s end, you’ll feel good knowing you have a relaxing room, world-class amenities and friendly
staff waiting for you. Book with IHG today.
Staying in Salisbury? I thought this was a great place to land during my tour of Assateague Island National Seashore. Very convenient.[Less]
Nice newly refurbished rooms

Breakfast host was a delight.

The hotel was easy to get to. Traveling ,so we didn't use pool or weight room. Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Adjust room temperature was tricky as the thermostat didn't work with the wall[More] unit. Should have directions by the thermostat and have the base unit taped shut.[Less]

Great stay! Near everything!
Decided to run away to the beach for birthday weekend. This was the perfect solution. Bed was extremely comfortable. Location wasn't near the water, but close to everything else. It was a good[More] choice. I would consider it again for future visits.[Less]

Very clean room, super comfy beds.
There were tons of places nearby to eat without having to go to the beach — several even walkable.
Great access to outlets, mini golf, and several beaches[More] (by car).
Breakfast was the same all three days, lacked variety and they had the cheaper, tiny versions of things like yogurt & muffins. The tables were very dirty with no one tending to them or any supplies to do so yourself.
Loud A/C, difficult to stabilize room temp.
Super small pool, indoor only; no sauna or hot tub.
Parking lot views. Gotta drive 10 mins to catch any beach views/vibes/sunrise or sets.
No place to sit outside.[Less]
