Our first stop in Caiman and we were bowled over by the whole experience. First off it’s NOT in the middle of things so you need to hire a car if you like independence. (Not expensive - we used
Andy’s and it was fine).Thehotel has an excellent shuttle into 7 mile beach but it finishes at 8 in the evening so then it’s taxis home. Check in/out is warm and delightful. The staff really are lovely. Our room was clean and amazing - we were upgraded to a 1 bed suite so had a washing machine/tumbler - first time ever in Holiday Inn. MASSIVE American fridge. Wonderful new luxury bed. View of pool AND sea.
Happy hour 3-7 - the electric margueritas are a bit dangerous - and all the bar staff are a delight. What more can we say? We’re going back next week after staying at the v posh Kimpton for a week - and looking forward to it! Guests and staff so friendly.
Some words of caution - beach is not swimmable (go to 7mile beach for the day - we loved Calico Jacks - cheap and fun!) Also Some of the sun beds are a bit rickety - and they need to stop playing Ed Sheeran on repeat!! The pool is lovely though - and next year the new landscaping will look beautiful. [Less]
