Visitors to our Montreal hotels can expect a sophisticated, cosmopolitan city that blends the energy of New York with the romance and charm of old world Paris.
Take to the streets of downtown Montreal and explore the museums, mansions and upscale shops of the Golden Square Mile. The Musée des Beaux Arts is one of the most prominent museums in Canada, displaying high-profile exhibitions and an international collection of contemporary art. Francophiles will feel at home among the cafes and bistros on the Rue Saint Denis, while Chinatown offers unique crafts and exotic cuisine. Guests of our Montreal hotels will find the Underground City a welcome refuge during Quebec's cold winter months. This network of subterranean walkways and shopping malls features restaurants, entertainment venues and more.
From the Underground City, you can easily hop on the Métro and tour the unique murals and art installations of Montreal's subway stations. The orange line will take you to Old Montreal, the historic and cultural heart of the city and a must-see attraction during your Montreal hotel stay.
Many of the streets and buildings date back to the 17th and 18th century and juxtapose the modern museums, art galleries and attractions also found in the district. Be sure to stop by the Pointe à Callière (Montreal Museum of Archeology and History) and the spectacular Basilique Notre-Dame. If you're traveling with children or just young at heart, you'll enjoy the Montreal Science Center and Cirque du Soleil. Top it off with dinner and drinks on the lively Place Jacques-Cartier.
If you have the opportunity to venture out during your stay in our Montreal hotels, plan a day trip to Parc Jean-Drapeau, the site of the 1967 World Fair. In the summertime, this large green space is an ideal spot for outdoor activities or a concert in the park. It's also the home of Canada's Formula One Grand Prix venue, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and the Montreal Casino. Try your hand at a game of chance or enjoy a decadent meal and the impressive skyline views from one of the casino's restaurants.
Experience the best Montreal has to offer when you book your stay at one of our Holiday Inn Express® Montreal hotels.

Clean, modern, convenient
Typical holiday inn express quality. This is still a new property. I love the pancake machine for breakfast. Have had problems with the printer not working at the business centre.[Less]
Place is nice, although due to its being new, the GPS shows the address as Home Depot. Very near to food places, no problem getting food. Wish microwave in the room although not all rooms has it.[Less]
Very conveniently located with very beautiful decor.[Less]
Great Location, Great people
Best location of all hotels - easy walk to Notre Dame Basilica, Old Montreal and Saint Catherine for the music festivals. Room was very spacious with terrific views. Bathroom is huge. Room and all[More] public spaces spotless. Front desk people were extremely helpful and very friendly. Only downside was that we were there on Formula One weekend ( our cruise ship came in on Saturday morning), so room rates were about double and had 2 night minimum stay. I totally understand the business reason for doing so and appreciate that I was even able to get a room. Staff went the extra mile to make up for this by upgrading us to a 9th floor room and gave us an extended checkout.[Less]
The elevator stops on the second floor every time you ride. It's annoying, and comical. We alerted new guests of this grand feature and they were just as confused[Less]
