Enjoy a hearty dinner of steak or ribs at Idle Spurs, set in a historic home in town. Dine inside or on the patio among gardens and trees during cool desert evenings.

After a good night's sleep at one of our Barstow hotels, head out early into the Mojave National Preserve, about an hour's drive east. Mildew and guess service

This is a excellent Holiday inn an Suites. The breakfast was wonderful! Nice staff in the breakfast room!! My three Grandkids enjoyed it!! I would check the bathrooms carefully for Mildew on the [More] walls and tub rims. I wish when I called to the front desk they sounded like they where happy to answer my questions. And maybe say if there is anything else just let us know. It was more like getting me question answered An hung up [Less]
Overall it was great, at least there are free cookies!

The hotel is right next to the Tanger Outlets, so there are plenty of shopping opportunities and food selections to choose from. The two major disappointments for me were the gym and laundry [More] facilities. The gym has 3 cardio machines, one treadmill, one elliptical, and one bike. All 3 machines are on their last legs, and have probably been there since the property was built. Also, despite repeated requests, there was never anything to sanitize/wipe down the equipment with. The only bonus to the gym were the dumbbells, which are hard to find at most hotel gyms as they typically have just machines. The laundry has 2 washers and 2 dryers, FOR THE ENTIRE HOTEL. As you can imagine, this is pretty inconvenient. It also costs about $2.50 per load of clothes depending on which washer you get. All in all, the hotel was clean and comfy, but if you're staying for an extended period, it will get frustrating with laundry and the gym. [Less]
