Honolulu is a southeastern coastal city on Oahu, the third largest Hawaiian island. Between beaches, sports events, arts, and important historical sites, there’s a little something for everyone in beautiful Honolulu.
Have an outdoors enthusiast in the family? Leave your hotel in Honolulu to explore miles of trails at Koko Head Crater, Diamond Bay, the Makapuu Lighthouse Trail and Hanauma Bay crater, all of which will wind you past stunning beaches and rock formations. The Lyon Arboretum is also a must for outdoors enthusiasts, as is Manoa Falls. Or, just grab your towel and head out to Ala Moana Beach Park, Kaimana Beach, Fort DeRussey Beach Park or Waikiki Beach for a good dose of sun.
History buffs will enjoy visiting Washington Place mansion, the former residence of Queen Lili?u Loloku, for a look into the life of Hawaii’s last reigning monarch. The Bishop Museum is also a must for those looking to explore Polynesian history. Or, for a look into the region’s military history, take a trip to Pearl Harbor, the largest natural harbor in the state and the only naval base in the country that has a National Historic Landmark designation. Board a ferry to the floating USS Arizona Memorial, constructed over the sunken battleships hull, and learn about the attack that will live in infamy.
At the end of a long day of touring, head to Kapahulu, an out of the way neighborhood known for its many eateries, to indulge your senses with local flavors. Afterwards, head back to your

Great stay...central location
By Mvljog440
The hotel has a great central location in Waikiki. The crosswalk to the beach in front of Duke’s is right in front of the hotel and then it’s a left and a right just after the Cheesecake Factory. [More] They offer free and secured surfboard storage on the ground level. The bellmen were really helpful whenever getting or storing the boards. Big plus for Waikiki. The Aroma Cafe next to the pool had very nice breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Smoothie was excellent as well. Went to the Maui Brewing Company twice for lunch then later in the trip for Happy Hour. The bartender even made a Ramos Gin Fizz which wasn’t on the menu but was cheerful to make. Fries are a great appetizer with drinks and the staff is friendly. The hotel is next to the International Market with many stores and high end restaurants. Across the street is the Royal Hawaiian center with an excellent food court on the 2nd level. The hotel has a trolley that will also take you around on a set schedule. Definitely worth looking at. Aloha. [Less]
