We stayed here on a whim, looking for a new-to-us beach to visit during our stay. This was a good choice. The price was reasonable, and access to a good, clean public beach was less than a block's
walk, with no major roads to cross.
This is a standard, reliable Holiday Inn Express, featuring exactly what I've come to expect from the chain. Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, breakfast was almost identical to other Holiday Inn Express offerings we've experienced in the past.
However, the elevators weren't functioning properly. One was not working at all, which led to some extended elevator waits. Based on the relative size of the doors, I suspect the smaller elevator to be the functioning one - however, because of its relative size, every member of the housekeeping staff that we witnessed using the elevator had a difficult time moving carts in and out of it. To their credit, though, they never complained or grumbled about the obvious inconvenience - at least in our hearing. The "good" elevator also made a rather alarming noise while in motion, and the door was slow and creaked to the point that multiple jokes were made among guests as to whether it would open at all. We opted to take the stairs for all of our descents. (Note: the elevator did continue to function for the duration of our stay, but the other elevator never did.) [Less]
