Munich, capital of the beautiful southern German province of Bavaria, is a fascinating mix of the modern and the traditional. With a history stretching back to the eighth century, today you find traditional culture and contemporary living hand in hand, while modern and medieval architecture stand side by side. Munich is only 30 miles from the Alps, and though it was heavily damaged during World War II, its historic Old Town has undergone extensive renovations and contains many architectural points of interest and memorable Germany hotels.
follow the path of the prisoner, and see the original prisoner quarters and the crematorium, along with many exhibitions and memorials.
Munich is renowned for its beer halls. Most brew their own beer, and the visiting connoisseur has nearly unlimited choices. Visit the Wesses Brauhaus, which has been around since the 19th-century, and sample beers whose descriptions range from refreshing like a dance in a summer breeze to relaxing moments by the fire. Or try the

The English Garden is Munich's biggest park and one of its prime tourist attractions. It's bigger than New York's Central Park, and offers paddle boats for the water, woodland paths, and even beer gardens.

The German Museum
is unique, in that it's located on an island in the Isar River. It's a museum of science and technology, and boasts intriguing historical artifacts, like the world's first electric dynamo and the first car. Munich is also home to one of the oldest art galleries in the world, the Alte Pinakothek, which houses over 800 masterpieces from the Middle Ages.

Very comfortable for my first trip to Europe
By RoBrau4321
No complaints about the hotel. My only issue was that the bed was a bit firm for me, but that is just my personal preference. The restaurant was clean and the food was good. The staff helped make my [More] experience simple and comfortable. The room darkening curtains definitely helped me adjust to the time difference as well. [Less]
Bavarian Escape
By VA703
Recognized as Rewards Club member at check-in. In house underground parking VERY tight in individual spaces. Some spaces blocked off due to disrepair of metal parking stalls. Nice room - few [More] electrical outlets available to recharge devices. Excellent lighting. Comforter too small for bed with two guests. No bedside alarm clock in room. One overhead light out at entry way inside of room. Phone did not work. Had to visit front desk, not fixed until next day of our two day stay. Personal medical device could not be utilized initially due t lack of electrical outlets next to bed. Front desk later provided extension cord to solve problem. Excellent air conditioning since our visit was during a warm period in Munich. Good Wi-Fi connections. Only one pillow was provided per guest on the bed. Suggest two each. Convenient setting in suburbs of Munich. Easy to get to from the autobahn. [Less]
A great stay with my family
By dm222
OK so the hotel is looking, in parts, a little tired and in need of renovation. However, the staff service is great and always attentive. The rooms/ beds are always comfortable and the air [More] conditioning units appear to be working again. I normally stay alone on business, but I was joined this time by my wife and son and we all had a great time!! [Less]

How to get to the Hotel
By manmanyo
Ask the front desk on how to walk to train station by short cut. you don't need to walk along the main street, it may save 5 min. but if you want to buy something along the way, there are few [More] supermarkets along the main street. [Less]

Excellent location and value

Fantastic location - walking distance to all sights, near Isar. Near Hit Supermarket and metro. Good sized rooms, modern, clean. [Less]
Good location, and friendly staffs
By Doremon
Hotel is located in very convenient location within the underground/subway station. Staffs are very friendly as recommended us some of the best local restaurants. However there is no fitness [More] center/swimming pool in hotel. Wifi internet is weak unless you are close to the lobby. [Less]
Handicap accessibility excellent
By MN Pushgirl
The handicap accessible room was excellent. Spacious and open. Shower was easy to use and much better designed than those in USA. Ditto for the sink area and mirrors ( really liked the makeup mirror [More] down low where I could use it). Toilet area also easy to access. Height of the bed was great--not extremely high like they often are now in the USA. Easy to maneuver on the carpet. Closet hangers, ironing board/iron, refrigerator all easily accessed. Nice full-length mirror. Only disappointment was that the pool was not open due to maintenance/remodeling. [Less]
