Munich, capital of the beautiful southern German province of Bavaria, is a fascinating mix of the modern and the traditional. With a history stretching back to the eighth century, today you find traditional culture and contemporary living hand in hand, while modern and medieval architecture stand side by side. Munich is only 30 miles from the Alps, and though it was heavily damaged during World War II, its historic Old Town has undergone extensive renovations and contains many architectural points of interest and memorable Germany hotels.
follow the path of the prisoner, and see the original prisoner quarters and the crematorium, along with many exhibitions and memorials.
Munich is renowned for its beer halls. Most brew their own beer, and the visiting connoisseur has nearly unlimited choices. Visit the Wesses Brauhaus, which has been around since the 19th-century, and sample beers whose descriptions range from refreshing like a dance in a summer breeze to relaxing moments by the fire. Or try the

The English Garden is Munich's biggest park and one of its prime tourist attractions. It's bigger than New York's Central Park, and offers paddle boats for the water, woodland paths, and even beer gardens.

The German Museum
is unique, in that it's located on an island in the Isar River. It's a museum of science and technology, and boasts intriguing historical artifacts, like the world's first electric dynamo and the first car. Munich is also home to one of the oldest art galleries in the world, the Alte Pinakothek, which houses over 800 masterpieces from the Middle Ages.

Overlooked Gem in the Suburbs!
By VA703
Welcomed as Rewards Club member at check-in. Given room upgrade with complimentary mini-bar (nice touch!). Great value for cost of room. Staff at check-in and check-out very friendly and courteous. [More] Sufficient luggage carts, easy access to parking under the building. Good sized elevators. Easy to maneuver luggage carts. Great room. Very fresh and modern. Nice bed, suggest other pillows (more firm) in addition to using only feather pillows, sufficient electrical outlets for devices. Lighting adequate, but could be a bit brighter. Nice bathroom, plenty of amenities. Nice furniture ... modern and comfortable. Located in the Munich suburbs, very quiet neighborhood, easy access to downtown and autobahn. A very hot day outside, great air conditioning, easy to relax. Will definitely stay here again. [Less]

Excellent staff and service
By Lucky
The hotel ia well placed for travelling around Munich being close to the rail, tram and bus links. The hotel is staffed by caring and pleasant people who are a pleasure to deal with. We were greeted [More] on arrival and nothing was too much trouble The room was clean, had a ll working facilities and was very comfortable..The breakfast was varied and food of good quality. All guest areas were very clean and well kept. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone and have no fear of contradiction to my comments. [Less]
Great hotel for any trip
By Radius19
The hotel is very clean, and located very close to station that connects downtown munich with trains running almost every 3-4 minutes. The check in and check out time was less then a minute which is [More] very amazing. The breakfast is very good as well except its same menu every day but they have wide variety. The front desk staffs are nice and helpful. Only issue I encountered was the room service didn't clean my room thoroughly for few days. They just made the bed and collected the rubbish but didn't clean the mug or replaced towels and other staffs. I did complain and it was cleaned almost immediately. Reviews are important for people when they choose hotels. Sometimes single review tend to discourage me from choosing the hotel. However for this hotel i would say that its amazing and the room service issue was like minimal and i dont think it's anything serious. I strong recommend this hotel to anyone and give it a top rating. [Less]
Expensive breakfast
By Tpb718
This was a good place to stay right near the autobahn. The room was spacious and clean. The property had been somewhat updated. Free parking a short walk away. The only negatives were - poor [More] internet quality and a ridiculously expensive breakfast. 22 Euros. There was a bakery nearby where all three of us were able to eat and get sandwiches to go for less than the price of one breakfast at this hotel. The wifi was really bad. To their credit they did upgrade us for free to the high speed internet that normally costs 5 Euros per day. [Less]
