Sorry for the delay in writing this review!
We live an hour away but decided to spend a weekend in the heart of the City. Great location which we knew from its Rydges days. IHG have done a great job[More] with renovation. We were delighted to have an upgrade to a junior suite which was well appointed. All staff were professional and friendly. Reception check in and out was "fun" - really chatty and friendly.
We had booked the Club Lounge but this one rates as the best I have experienced. The staff were incredible but I have now forgotten names - but one lady had worked for SIA, the other was from Finland I think. Their thoughtfulness (and 2 men working there as well) was above and beyond what we would expect. My wife is lactose intolerant and they made special arrangements for food service.
Such a great choice of food that we found ourselves dashing back for afternoon tea instead of exploring more of the City!.
The hotel is a credit to the Intercontinental brand.[Less]

Family room is brilliant - should be in all hotels
Had a great three nights at Holiday Inn Perth. The staff are amazing. So friendly and obliging. Nothing was a hassle. They even rang us once we were in the room to make sure things were as we[More] expected. They welcomed us back every time we returned to the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance of most things you want to see in the city and for anything further out there is the free city bus service across the road. Brilliant venue for business and pleasure. The family room is fantastic and should be in all hotels. The only thing it was missing (for summer) was a pool.[Less]
