Book a stay at one of our Holiday Inn® Norwich hotels. Survey the narrow streets of this ancient city from the top of Norman Castle or cruise the quiet waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

Half-timbered Tudor buildings loom as you wander down cobbled Elm Hill, tucked inside Norwich's maze of medieval alleyways. This landmark street is packed with more Tudor architecture than is found in the whole of London. The city's collection of excellently preserved historic buildings, known as the Norwich 12, is conveniently located near our hotels in Norwich. Pick up a free self-guided walking map of Norwich 12 from the tourist information center. Faced in limestone shipped from France by the Normans, the formidable keep of Norwich Castle still stands guard over the city. The mighty spire of the Norwich Cathedral extends toward the heavens. A short journey from our Norwich hotels takes you into the Norfolk Broads, a sweeping expanse of wetlands dotted with windmills and blessed with some of the richest flora and fauna in the country.

One of the largest markets in the country, Norwich Market does a thriving business six days a week, just as it has for close to a millennium. Work up an appetite as you browse the artisanal food stalls. Our Norwich hotels are close to Prince of Wales Road, flanked on either side by elegant townhouses as it stretches out of the city center. Buzzing with restaurants and pubs, it's the best place in Norwich to sample one of the region's many local ales.

Book into our Norwich hotels and lose yourself among the twisting streets of this historic city, whose medieval past is feted annually at the Dragon Festival, which celebrates the dragon-the heraldic symbol of the city since ancient times.

Good sleeping experience

Great staff, warm respectful and considerate. The indoors were of good sizes and shapes. Were able to change my room immediately due to concerns about my child's needs. [Less]
Very helpful staff, let down by the hotel taking on more than they could cope with
By Marathonrower
Stayed 3 nights for leisure. Had booked 2 x Executive rooms some weeks before. One room had no fridge and the other had no safe - both of which were part of the "executive" feature. Mentioned it on [More] check out, to be advised that they would pass it on - well whoever needs to know must, as I presume that they had already taken out facilities that the room should have had, and to save cost not replaced them. What should have happened was to only charge for one executive room, and one normal room, as in effect that's what we had! Biggest concern was that the dining room (lauded on the website) was closed to all private guests during the 3 nights we were there as there was a coach party of 100 or so staying who needed to be fed and watered. There was a notice on reception advising, but that is a fat lot of good when you've prebooked and travelled over a 100 miles to be there. To be fair to the staff, who were all helpful, they could see how unreasonable it was suggesting that my parents who are both nearly 90 and not with the best mobility go elsewhere to eat, and made arrangements for us to eat in the dining room at 5:30pm each day. The small bar which was the other alternative had tables/chairs either too high or low for my mother. The Food & Beverages supervisor, Konstantine, was excellent in coming to my parents room to explain what we could do and arranging an appropriate table on each occasion. Unfortunately he wasn't there on our last evening, and although he'd left a message for his opposite number, it seemed to have got lost. Breakfast was OK, choices getting more limited, and of course the staff were run off their feet trying to deal with the tour party of 100 hitting the place pretty much all at once. The leisure facilities and staff were good and well worth using. Hotel could benefit from a lift, but I'm sure they know that. 3rd time we've stayed there, and we enjoyed our stay, found the staff great, but with the issues over dinner, not sure we'd risk it again. Very impressed, will be recommending your Holiday Inn. [Less]
Staff brilliant, hotel very clean
By Anja
Overall stay was great, only thing that let it down was the double beds. Most hotels have King size beds, this one has doubles and although the bed was comfortable, we didn't sleep well at all as [More] used to a larger bed. Other than this, couldn't fault the hotel. [Less]
good hotel would use again
By tonyh
only thing that needs improving is the choice of beer limited to lager or cider traditional beer only in bottles. [Less]
Great location
By Esteban72
Easy access although disappointing to have to pay for parking [Less]
