Think ‘Barcelona’ and you’d be forgiven for instantly thinking of football. This is the home of the infamous football team, considered by many as the best in the world. The home of FC Barcelona is the Camp Nou stadium, a 98,787 seater stadium that’s full of song on match days. If you are able to catch a match, it’s well worth doing so. But even if you’re not fortunate enough for your visit to coincide with a game, you can visit the stadium and enjoy the museum and tour.

Meanwhile, museum-goers are just as spoilt for choice. There are more than 60 galleries spread across museums in this city and although you might not be able to catch them all, the Science Museum, City History Museum, Joan Miro Foundation and the Barcelona Football Club museum are worth special visits.
