Finland's capital city is the largest in the country and is home to so many attractions to see and things to do. To commemorate Suomenlinna's place in this important part of Finnish history, it has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Suomenlinna's rich history should interest any traveler looking for things to see in Helsinki. Few places in Finland have as much national and historical significance as this island stronghold.
