Santa Fe Travel Guide

Santa Fe is a city of superlatives: the oldest and highest state capital in the United States and one of the country’s best-loved vacation destinations.
Given its dramatic locale, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise to learn that Santa Fe is jam packed with opportunities for outdoor adventure. Step out of your Santa Fe hotel and head to Old Fort Park or Prince Park Commemorative Walkway for a great hike, or the Santa Fe River Park for a spin on the popular bike trails. Hyde Memorial Park will make for a beautiful hike or drive, or, if you’re seeking more of a challenge, try climbing Atalaya Mountain to the east of the city.
Santa Fe has been officially recognized as a UNESCO Creative City thanks to its longstanding relationship with the arts. Over the years, Santa Fe has played host to a number of world-famous artists and writers, including Georgia O’Keeffe, Cormac McCarthy and D.H.Lawrence. The city’s diverse contributions to culture are celebrated throughout the city in an array of mesmerizing galleries and creative museums. The Museum of International Folk Art is among the best in the world, as is the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture, the New Mexico Museum of Art, and the Georgia O’Keefe Museum.
When the sky darkens, find world class entertainment in Santa Fe’s many theaters, auditoriums and cinemas. Try the Santa Fe Opera House, a number of independent art house theaters, and the Lensic Performing Arts Center for performances to suit every age.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, a great location to stay in Los Alamos, NM
By BC-02467
This is a clean, well maintained hotel with a great location near the Los Alamos airport and laboratory. The staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming to me. If I return for a visit to Los Alamos, [More] I will stay at Holiday Inn Express. [Less]
Great Service and Staff

I really enjoyed my state at this hotel in Los Alamos, I would recommend that other stay there considering its proximity to the Laboratory and the historical sights. The hotel is close to walking [More] trails and the New Mexico Consortium Lab. [Less]
Clean and updated facilities
By MarieCK
Very clean and update rooms and common areas. Staff was very friendly and helpful. First time staying at this facility. We have stayed at another hotel in town but it is not as food as this one. We [More] highly recommended it to our friends that stayed at the other hotel. [Less]

Close to great Mexican restaurant
By Nellymom
Clean and comfortable room. I think only rolls and coffee should be available instead of full breakfast for a reduced price. Very seldom do we eat there.usually up too early traveling. [Less]
Customer Service
By ABBAONJBM
Our overnight stay was great - cleanliness, food, value. Though what was really the best part was the customer service. The gentleman. that helped us did a great job on his 1st or 2nd day (I think he [More] said). After a long drive, i was tired and probably not the most gracious. This gentleman greeted us, thanked us, gave a run of all the amenities, - impressive for being new. Though, what was impressive is that he jumped in , figured out how to input and take a walk-in with little assistance. Kudos to him for the initiative. [Less]
