Comfortable and friendly hotel
By Bogel44
We enjoyed a comfortable two night stay in this friendly hotel which offers basic facilities while on a short sightseeing holiday in Edinburgh. An ideal location if visiting the Royal Yacht with [More] excellent bus services into the city centre. The Ocean Terminal, which gives access to the Royal Yacht, is a large shopping complex with a good selection of restaurants for evening meals if required. [Less]

Newly refurbished rooms are light and airy. Quiet hotel with excellent staff. Breakfast was fast and easy to access. Good parking facilities and really well located to visit Leith and Edinburgh [More] points of interest. [Less]
Great service

The hotel was being refurbished while I was there but the work didn't disturb me at all - except that I had some problems with TV reception [Less]
Nice boutique hotel
By Tigronian
I am a fan of the Indigo hotel group and this one lived up to the same standards I expect from my other experiences. Nice addition of the haggis to the cooked breakfast. I would have liked to have [More] seen some more options on the cooked breakfast. Other Indigo hotels offer smoked salmon and scrambled egg and eggs Benedict. [Less]
Punches above it's weight
By Razorbill
This was a real gem of a find, a bijou establishment with tasteful decor and spotlessly clean. It's in an excellent spot in the east end of town, with plenty of local restaurants, bars and a short [More] walk from Waverley and Princes St. Excellent value, with extra freebies that you would normally only expect to get if maying twice the price, such as towelling dressing gowns, fresh milk in the fridge. tunnocks tea cakes and fresh coffee bags. Staff were welcoming and professional. [Less]
AN EXCELLENT WEEKEND BREAK
By jacbrian
HAVE JUST RETURNED FROM A 3 NIGHT STAY AT THE HOTEL INDIGO. EASY ACCESS FROM WAVERLEY STATION TO THE HOTEL. HOTEL VERY WELL FURNISHED YET COMFORTABLE. RESTAURANT FOOD AND SERVICE VERY GOOD. [Less]
Friendly staff, clean room
By Polgara
We received a friendly and smiley welcome and the room was clean. However, the breakfast disappointed us. We have stayed at other Holiday Inn Express Hotels and this was not up to standard. No rolls [More] or fresh fruit as advertised. [Less]
Back Again
By Dougie41
Never been disappointed yet, from arriving to departure, Reception are always extremely professional and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast has always been a bit of a disappointment, but [More] is getting better, but still a long way to catch up on others that include breakfast in the price. Get that bit right and will stand out from the rest. [Less]

By coco1946
Stuck on the outskirts of town but close to Motorway. Friendly welcome, room up to standard, comfortable sleep and good start to the day with complimentary breakfast [scrambled eggs excellant] - [More] check in and out efficient and quick. [Less]
