Featured Columbus Hotels

Time-travel back to the antebellum South when you stay in our Columbus hotels, where paddle-wheelers once unloaded cotton bales along the banks of the Chattahoochee River and Southern belles in hoop skirts courted under magnolias and oak trees.

This historic river city is packed with relics from the Civil War. When you stay at our hotels in Columbus, Georgia, you'll be close to the Civil War ironworks in Heritage Park where Confederate cannons were forged. History buffs will flock to the brand-new 40,000-square-foot National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus. On display are the bones of the Confederate ironclad CSS Jackson, which rested on the bottom of the Chattahoochee River for nearly a century. Columbus is more than an old Confederate stronghold; it's also the town where Coca-Cola was invented by pharmacist John Pemberton in the late 1800s. Visit Pemberton's grave at Linwood Cemetery and silently commiserate over the fact that he sold the formula for a paltry $1,750. Kitschy collectibles are on display at the Lunchbox Museum, where the walls are crammed with rusty metal lunchboxes from the early days of television ("Flying Nun" lunchbox, anyone?) and more.

When you stay at one of our Columbus hotels, you'll discover the city's lively Uptown restaurant and nightlife scene. Have a Southern-style mint julep and dine on Georgia-style barbecued pork and Brunswick stew, a hearty gumbo of chicken, pork, and summer vegetables. Then stroll Broadway Street's Sculpture Walk past a lineup of whimsical kid-pleasing sculptures of children at play, reading books, or tasting raindrops.

Book a stay at our Holiday Inn® Columbus hotels in Georgia, a riverfront city where the past is a tangible part of the present.

Quiet, Clean, Convenient!
By Lauri FA
Immaculate property. Extremely clean. When I stated I would be checking out before coffee would be made in the morning, the front desk woman said she'd leave a note so it would be made early for me [More] ... and it was! What a great experience [Less]
Excellant Choice for the Columbus GA Area
By Twds7
My Excellent review is hard for me to give, I am Top Tier Rewards member with many brands. I travel five days a week thru out the US. Things I love is the following. 1. The hotel is close to [More] everything that a traveler would desire, the hotel is in a very safe area near all the major shopping that the city has to offer. 2. the lobby was clean and ground where clean and the Desk Clerk was busy working every time I past the counter. 3. Room was very nice, many cable channels and not must noise coming from other people rooms. The bed and shower where awesome! [Less]
Best Extended stay hotel.
By leighton73
First off let me say that I spend almost half my life in hotels. I've stayed at almost every chain there is along the east coast. So to begin the rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious, quiet, and [More] fully stocked with whatever I needed for a long stay. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is new with a contemporary feel. Had a nice gym and pool (outdoor) as well. There are a few things that stood out to me that I haven't seen before. My room (standard king) had a lazy boy recliner, and in the lobby there's a lending locker that has every kitchen appliance you can think of, games, and DVDs all of which are free. All in all I'd have to say that this is the best extended stay hotel I've ever stayed at. [Less]
Comfortable, quiet and great service.

For health reasons we are on a gluten free/ dairy free diet. The desk clerk was very nice and called to see if boiled eggs were available for breakfast. We understand when a supplier is unable to [More] supply something. Eggs have been a problem everywhere. Everything else was top notch! A very clean, quiet, comfortable room. [Less]
Close to Fort Benning

This Holiday Inn Express was pretty much as expected. I've used these more often lately. Property appears to be new and kept clean. Room was nice, beds and pillows great. Heater/Air was tough to [More] regulate but worked well. Loud fan from heat/air unit. WiFi ok, Direct connect good on internet. Breakfast selection good. I did get cold eggs and pancake machine needed filled but other than that it was fine. My room could have been cleaned with a little more detail. Ie...stuff under bed not vacuumed, little details but not bad. [Less]
Really clean and great staff service

Loved having a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Nice to be able to grab a quick hot breakfast. [Less]
Great service by front desk personnel. Comfortable room
By VickiSS
I love staying at this hotel. The front desk staff is always awesome! The rooms are usually comfortable and if I have a problem they usually try to take care of it. After traveling for a funeral I [More] was exhausted and did not report the light in the bathroom until I left as I didn't want the hassle of maintenance coming in. I just dealt with it. I went down for breakfast and usually it is very good. This morning however, the breakfast did not look appealing. I advised the front desk when I left. [Less]

Comfortable bed and clean room

We were very satisfied with our room and our stay. The only thing we noticed was that the dining room and elevator floors carpets were in need of cleaning. [Less]
