This hotel exceeded my expectations as far as the staff and their hospitality. I have stayed at many hotels in the past and this by far had the most welcoming, customer service oriented staff I have met.

We were treated courteously and kindly and efficiently. My husband and I are old and beginning to look a bit frail, and the staff made every effort to assist us during our stay. We were offered help with our bags at checkin, seated quickly when we went into the dining room, and we were even helped with our little overnight bags when we left the next morning. We had one slight problem, which was resolved quickly and in a better fashion than I would have anticipated.

My stay at this hotel made me feel like I was again living in a dorm room. There was a constant noise of people yelling and doors slamming well into the night. Also, when trying to use the Wi-Fi , I had issues getting it to work. When I asked the desk attendant about it, all I got was that his phone works well on the system and that he is using it. That was not what I asked for. I gave up with him as he had no idea how to deal with this. When I travel through the area again, I will not stay at this hotel again.

I have stayed at this hotel many times and have had very good experiences. I did not get my wake up call although the operator said that I was called twice. My phone was replaced and I did get my wake up call at the right time.
Getting a USA today newspaper is a good service for your clients.
Hot breakfast food in the morning is also a bonus. Having a discount in association with pamplin Park is the major reason why I stay here.

This is one of the best Holiday Inn hotels I have stayed in. The customer service was great. I had to make some changes in my arrival by phone. When I arrived the desk clerk remembered our conversation and had already updated my check in. I also changed my payment method mid-way through my stay and that was accomplished with no problems. The restaurant staff was very friendly and remembered my preferences during my stay. The beds were very comfortable and I love having my choice of pillows (firm or soft).

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this hotel with a soccer team. I spoke directly to the marketing manager to make my reservation and asked to be guaranteed for late arrival but it had been cancelled when we arrived after 9 pm. We waited a long time to get the "last non-smoking double room" but could only stay there for one night. The only available room for the 2nd night was smoking. We were not ok with this but we had a very early morning and others were waiting to check in. There were no breakfast vouchers as promised by our group status and the opening time was after our required departure for a soccer game. The second night we were allowed to stay in our room - Yay! - but the breakfast voucher printed times and the confirmation of those times by the front desk the night before turned out to be wrong and we were too late for breakfast this time! We raced to pack, check out and find a heathy breakfast option for our daughter before her soccer game. This was not a relaxing stay.
