Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Down Hill Fast I've stayed at the Holiday Inn in Allen Park several times. This last time I stayed I couldn't believe what a what happened to this once excellent hotel. I don't know if they down graded their DISH TV package but there were only about 12 channels available. After a long day of work to go back to a hotel and literally have nothing to watch is ridiculous. When i inquired about the lack of TV channels the lady at the front desk said "that is just the way it is". Also the internet signal was very weak. Somebody was constantly smoking on my floor and I would call down to the front desk every time, each time the only answer i got was "i will take care of it", although they never did. I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and every morning it was the exact same breakfast, no change whatsoever. The time before i stayed they changed the breakfast regularly. Don't know what is going on, but will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. Another small thing, when i checked in i could see all the Holiday Inn reward member gift bags. I was not given one. Thought it was rude to be staring at a whole wall of one, when i am clearly a member. April 30, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing always works at hotel I have stayed at this particular Holiday Express Inn for several visits in the last 2 years. Of those visits, only one time did all the equipment work in the hotel. This last visit the air vent in the bathroom sounded like an airplane engine having a bad day, the heat light didn't work. Prior to this visit, the pool was not heated nor did the hot tub jets work. It would really be nice to have paid to have all the amenities working. I don't know if I will stay there again. When we checked in to the Holiday Inn Express for our stay, the first thing the reservation clerk said is, the Jacuzzi is out of order for maintenance. That is a main reason for booking at this particular Holiday Inn, When we attempted to use the cable to watchi a LOCAL sporting event, we could not get the TV to tune into any station. After a call to the front desk, we were told to wait. After 30 minutes we realized it was a lost cause. The power went out about an hour later and it took another 30 minutes for the TV to reboot. The internet connection in our room was very poor, none of our mobile devices were able to keep a connection. The following morning we attempted to have breakfast, only to find at 9:15 AM that most of the food was gone and the coffee pots empty. When I looked for a staff member, she was on her cell phone and I could not get her attention. The breakfast choices are normal Holiday Inn fare and normally very good. At this location, I recommend to go out to eat. April 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by came back breakfast is prepared by a very kind woman who was flexible to allow me to eat something even though it was earlier than 6a. thank you. this visit wasn't as nice room wise with a toilet that didn't flush well. maintenance came twice to try to fix and said was fixed but never was over two day stay. hopefully it is now for the next person in my room. nice room otherwise which was an upgrade due to platinum status. thanks.
