As a hotel that has any stars there is a certain expectation, and overall these were me with no problem. There were some issues, one was planning, one was design, and one was safety.
I was there for a convention, and there were 3 other meetings/conventions at the same place and same time. This cause a big jam at the elevators hourly, and worse, I overheard some very derogatory discriminatory things said by one of the other meeting members about our convention members. This left a bad feeling in my mind the rest of the day.
Design. The birds in the lobby. They were lovely birds. They were loud birds that stopped much conversation as we tried to talk over them and those with hearing aid devices were tortured.
Safety was more a training or planning issue. The simple one was there were lots of the yellow fold wet floor signed all over the main lobby and convention floor, which is odd in a country that should be better better prepared for it. The other was the bathroom cleaning verified there were people in the restroom or not to clean, there were 3 people in there. Rather than wait she posted a "Do not enter for cleaning" right in front of the doot, but all 3 that exited the bathroom fell over the sign that had not been there when they went in, further this was just about an hour after lunch so they would be in a high use time, not a time to block off the bathroom.
