The hotel is not far from the strip, our room even had a large window with a beautiful view of the strip. The room was a good size for our family of five. We had a double queen suite which, to a
pleasant surprise, came with a sofa bed as well. One bad thing was that the toilet omitted a foul odor the first couple of times we flushed. It didn't happen again so we did not complain about it or ask to change rooms.
The lobby wasn't the cleanest and the breakfast slections were limited. They have the pancake machine out but it doesn't work and that was extremely disappointing. They also had a very sparse selection of pastries, the bread case was mostly empty when we came down at 7:30am so I couldn't even make toast or a bagel. The next morning was pretty much the same. You can still get eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal (fruit loops, special K and raisin bran) and some yummy cinnamon rolls. The apple juice and orange juice tasted weird our first morning there so we didn't have them for the remainder of our stay. There is also no water available in the lobby. I've stayed at other Holiday Inn's (the Spring Valley Holiday Inn) where they have at least one water dispenser in the lobby and sometimes it's even infused with fruit.
The staff was all really nice and helpful! I even witness them interacting with some extremely rude guests and they kept their cool and handled the situations professionally. [Less]
