Featured Edinburgh Hotels

We have 9 Edinburgh business hotels spread across the Scottish capital. Wherever you need to be in the city, we can make sure you're close by.

Edinburgh is a popular tourist spot as well as economic Scottish hub. Make sure you find the time to take in some of the attractions. If the weather's good, then Arthur's Seat is a must visit. This is the main peak of a spectacular group of mountains and the climb is well worth it for the views across the city. Edinburgh Castle is another sight you simply must see, followed up by a wander through the Old Town's historic Royal Mile which is essential.

Edinburgh's 30+ museums include the National Museum of Scotland, the Scotland National Gallery and the Scotch Whiskey Experience. After all that culture and history, you'll have earned a shopping trip and Edinburgh is happy to oblige. As well as the numerous independent shops and boutiques that populate the city's streets, there are also a number of bigger shopping centres. St James Shopping Centre is the most central of those, housing a number of high street brand stores.

Edinburgh is home to two rival Scottish football teams - Hearts and Hibernian. The city is also where you will find Murrayfield Stadium, home of Edinburgh Rugby Union team (and where the Scottish national rugby union team often plays).

The Scottish capital has its own international airport as well as excellent rail connections to other cities in Scotland and to London, Newcastle, Leeds and other major UK cities. The city is located on the A1 road, connecting the city with the North East of England, North Yorkshire and ultimately London.

Make the most of your stay here by staying at one of our Edinburgh Business Hotels. We can make you right at home in the heart of the Scottish capital.

Perfect location, spacious room and friendly staff.

I couldn't of booked a better hotel. The staff were smiley and friendly from the moment we stepped foot into the hotel and made checking in and out at the end of our stay hassle free. The [More] complementary refreshments in the room were replenished daily and the towels were also changed daily. Brilliant stay! Would recommend this hotel to everyone! [Less]

The hotel indigo Edinburgh York place is in a good location just outside the husstle and bustle of the very centre of the city, clean and modern design and very good value for money. [Less]
Good Location, Nice Breakfast, Reasonable Cost
By fractalwoman
This was my second stay at this hotel. I chose it the first time based on the free breakfast, overall cost of stay, and the location. I was so pleased the first time that I decided to come back. [More] It is right at the end of the tram-line from the airport - so very easy to get to - also near the bus station and Waverley Rail Station. It is also close to attractions such as Calton Hill, Holyrood Park, the National Portrait Gallery and Princes Street. There is also the convenience of a Tesco and an ATM right next-door. Also, the price was definitely right. The rooms are rather small, but since I was out exploring the town for 11 or more hours a day (sabbatical research then leisure) that didn't matter - wasn't going to be socializing or kicking-back in the room. The first time I stayed (spring 2016), the breakfast was PHENOMENAL (best I had in 9 different hotels in European cities I traveled to that spring - which is the main reason I came back), but in November 2017 they were doing construction on half the breakfast area, so there weren't as many choices, and the area was rather cramped - which will hopefully be improved soon. The water in the shower was nice and hot - but not a lot of water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities were comfortable (for our purposes) and very clean. There was no clock of any kind in the room (and I don't have a smart phone to use for an alarm). Of the three times I requested a wake-up call, only once did they actually call, so be sure to have your own alarm of some kind! I would also like to see a safe available in the room (they do have a safe at the front desk). Overall - happy with the visits - will stay here again for sure. [Less]

Good location and comfortable room

Usual quality you expect from Holiday Inn Express. Certainly the best of the budget hotel options. This one is in a good location and even the renovation work did not disturb. Will stay here again [More] next time I visit and would recommend to others. [Less]
Amazing time in Edinburgh

Staying at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh, Royal Mile made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel was an excellent base, great location and very friendly staff. Highly recommended. [Less]
Not Exactly The Royal Mile but quite close.
By Fozzy1224
Typically good standard of hotel as expected of a Holiday Inn Express. The hotel is well located for access to the Royal Mile and within walking distance of Waverley Train Station via Jeffrey Street [More] and St Mary's Street. The Cowgate leading to Grassmarket is a vibrant area with a wide selection of restaurants and drinking establishments. Friendly helpful staff. If you book up well in advance of your stay chose the option whereby you can cancel without penalty, the price drops down nearer the time of your stay and you can then rebook at a lower price provided there is availability. The family room was a bit of a squeeze for four but the hotel was quiet, clean and well located. [Less]
